yeah i mean i'm probably reading too much into it but it seems strange to have new tshirts for each of their albums (mbv one arguable i guess) and then have one representing a particular aspect of their sound

actually, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that whatever combo of pedals and instruments making the loudest noises in this is pretty much the same combo that produced the noises in "to here knows when". i assume he just steps on the "plane wing space distortion closeup psych trip meltdown jetstream" button and bends the results back and forth a bit

I was certainly hoping for something a little more adventurous since the track is a collaboration with Eno. It's pretty standard stuff. And it could comfortably fit in an intro to a Sigur Ros song circa the parenthesis/brackets (()) album (I mention them as a band who exploited this sound the most in recent times).

I have found that Eno pushed himself a little more, or at least produced more captivating or interesting sounds, when working with Harmonia. I listen to a few of their tracks every so often and the nature and treatment of the tones is so captivating that it's hypnotic. I think even after all these years, some of their tracks sound refreshing, whereas this new track sounds like some stock samples, though I'm not saying they are.

I liked that but it needed to be 35min long and through the stereo and with me not at work listening to other people's phone calls.

Weirdly, it's been on Adult Swim Singles' Soundcloud page for two days and has only had 21 plays.

Holy shit, that is something I never expected to happen. Sounds great to me, basically exactly as billed.

Though this is as strange a place for that to land as when that Mark Hollis fragment made it onto that TV drama or wherever.

wonder if we will actually get a new album next year
