yeah idk why i just really wanted to put the ds2 bonus trax on there, they feel so wasted on ds2

imo kno the meaning would work as an actual final track to ds2 bc it's an interesting emotional conclusion, percocet and stripper joint is kind of an orphan though (and a great track) that doesn't fit the ds2 sonic palette

i put blow a bag on mine; i do really like blood on the money but felt like i had too many closer-type tracks in my last 5 w/ hardly and kno the meaning

right now I am feeling beast mode is the best, zaytoven production is so good, love all this jazzy piano. does feel like the most consistent too

lol in that future promo doc he put out this summer he talks about London bridges falling down as an inspiration and that he is basically trying to write nursery rhymes and that is pretty otm imo, I have these random future bars floating around in my head all the time

"blood on the money" is like in top 3 or so future tracks in this whole run since monster imo

after several months of m/l continuous listening to all four monster and beyond future projects, i'd say beast mode def has the most interesting production, 56 nights and DS2 are most successful at being coherent wholes and sustaining moods throughout (esp. DS2), monster has some of the highest heights and is the most emotionally resonant overall

actually i might say beast mode is more cohesive than 56 nights

ds2 starts off great, sags a little in the middle imo, but has a really good closing stretch (fwiw i have the non-deluxe version that ends w/ blood on the money). def has a very sustained mood throughout though

Really grateful for everyone's best of upthread. I've been playing these on shuffle for a few months but I've been having mixed feelings about this stage of his work. Both Future and Young Thug seem to have left behind the fast chatting bangers (Same Damn Time, Treasure etc) and gone for this reflective, smoothed out, more consistent but ultimately less hooky sound. Listening to these favourites put into a playlist is bringing it all home though - Just Like Bruddas is fantastic, as is March Madness and several others.

No love for Thought There Was A Drought though? I love the way 'gucci flip flops' seems to drip and drop over the beat.

hooks are definitely there on all these imo, sometimes i feel like future is nothing but hooks, "nursery rhymes" for real imo

live from the gutter is nearly as good as anything on these 3 tapes imo

xp the hooks are there, but they feel more buried. not sure about nursery rhymes tbh.

xp yeah live from the gutter is really good, diamonds dancing, digital dash, i'm the plug and jersey also p great to solid cuts from the future/drake tape (which is really just a future tape that drake jumps in on a few times other than 30 for 30 freestyle)
