only listened to 1 show so far this year but i'm gonna get back on it. last one i heard i noticed him drop a couple of jungle-at-130bpm tracks, who is dat? mella dee again? (one of em might have been lorenzo scarecrow actually so obviously it was good). i'm torn between wanting that particular flava to come back bigstyle (something like modern breakbeat garage redux 'done right'), and just being content with the Q dropping in the odd track (hmmm, probably the latter, but still i love when it happens and i reckon theres a lot of possibility there. like i loved 138 trek then grew to hate it and now come back round to loving it again recently idk why).

Have the shows gone less pop since the shift to a later Saturday slot? There was quite a long chunk in the middle of the 13th Feb set where he was playing a lot of stuff that sounded like the grimier end of Black Butter. It was okay but not as great as when he's pouring sugar on top of big chunky bangers.

The Don't Walk Away refix was a joy though, feeling that track with Tkay Maidza as well.

(I almost wrote 'pouring sugar on beef' up there but couldn't countenance writing something so disgusting).
