Does "thot" just mean, like, "hoe"? Is it pronounced like "thought"?
― Your Ribs are My Ladder, Monday, 20 July 2015 10:35 (ten years ago)
A) p much; B) a bit more abruptly
― The Reverend, Monday, 20 July 2015 11:07 (ten years ago)
i keep trying but this album still sounds humorous to me
― soyrev, Monday, 20 July 2015 11:36 (ten years ago)

― curmudgeon, Monday, 20 July 2015 14:39 (ten years ago)
pretty sure "THOT" stands for "those hos over there" which makes me even more unreasonably annoyed when it's used in the plural
― you are extreme, Patti LuPone. (forksclovetofu), Monday, 20 July 2015 15:28 (ten years ago)
eternally ;_; @ lyric websites getting it wrong
― lex pretend, Monday, 20 July 2015 15:31 (ten years ago)
"leaves" stops me in my tracks every time
something about how his voice is suddenly there, right in your ear and unadorned after spending 10 tracks muffled and deep in the mix and switching itself up

Pretty sure it's "that hoe over there" which adds levels to your unreasonable annoyance xps
― tsrobodo, Monday, 20 July 2015 16:03 (ten years ago)
leaves -> face the sun is so killer
i think we can all agree that "THOT" is a horrible phrase/word/acronym/whatever
― you are extreme, Patti LuPone. (forksclovetofu), Monday, 20 July 2015 17:16 (ten years ago)
^ too moral for the cut-thot
― example (crüt), Monday, 20 July 2015 17:21 (ten years ago)
Rather be a thot than a whore
― tsrobodo, Monday, 20 July 2015 18:01 (ten years ago)
poorly thot out imo

i've come around to "beautiful exit" still not crazy about the guitars but pretty much everything else is really good about that song especially the vocals

It's missing a desert scene but otherwise I feel this clip is kind of perfect for the song?

"what's normal anyway" has a pop punk outro
his band is straight up unbelievable
there were breaks but it felt like a continuous 90 minutes of music
― insufficiently familiar with xgau's work to comment intelligently (BradNelson), Saturday, 8 August 2015 22:59 (ten years ago)
listen here I'm getting awfully tired of reading about your having a good time

lol yes sounds like a very good activity.
i really dig NWA but sometimes kurupt's verse kind of grates, it is a little corny maybe?
not super into his album as a whole tbh, def rank it below the first two
― flopson, Thursday, 13 August 2015 16:27 (ten years ago)
yea
― Spottie, Thursday, 13 August 2015 16:30 (ten years ago)
ditto, but the highs are excellent
― Meta Forksclove-Liebeskind (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 13 August 2015 21:11 (ten years ago)
the highs are nice but none come close to "coffee" imo, I think I'd feel way differently about this album if it didn't have "coffee"
― marcos, Thursday, 13 August 2015 23:42 (ten years ago)
but yea there are a fair amount of tracks I skip
This was a disappointment in the end. I thought Coffee would be the conventional really good-but-nice middling track amongst other truly great things that stretched out his sound. As it turned out, it was the best song and the strongest hook. Offputting production and session muso rock guitar sounds didn't help.
