A truly exciting band who have been likened to some of the shining lights of UK indie, Vida are a British four piece who are going places. Drawing comparisons to a wide ranging indie catalogue, including the likes of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Black Keys, Miles Kane and more, their growing reputation has seen them garnering recognition from some of the country’s top tastemakers.
Their new single is a double A-side release showing two of the different sides of the group. First, ‘Electric Lady’ tells the story of repeated overnight stays with the same girl after meeting on several nights out, and the awkwardness that follows the next morning. Meanwhile, ‘Fade Away’ speaks of a completely different kind of awkward – finding yourself in the same room as an ex…

Introducing snarling Southampton songsmiths The Rising. Their debut album is the kind of down and dirty garage rock that early Oasis made famous, bursting with rock and roll passion and with more punk attitude that you can shag a stick at. Front man Tommy Overington does a great Liam impression and Alan McGee is suitably impressed, declaring 'he's a star', but these boys are much more than a mere tribute and have more than enough of their own unique stamp in the locker to succeed.

The band have a distinctive North-of-England sound that runs through many Northern bands, as they are from near Sheffield, but the difference is that although most Yorkshire-based bands in England have the electronic synthy sound that goes with their guitar riffs, Exit Calm focus on delivering the edgy, psychadelic beats through their drums.

inconvenient truth is prob that while we're here Muttley-laughing at this terrible press release copy, the great majority of ppl who read it won't really give a shit as long as it mentions the right bands and throws in some tunesmithery and time-honoured adjectives

Belfast’s latest gem from the growing new Rock 'n' Roll revival scene is "The Sass", an energetic, pulsating unit of screaming guitars, rhythmic bass lines and effortless charisma. They opened proceedings with "Jukebox", an upbeat, exuberant affair with the lyrical quality of Stereophonics played to a Cribs style riff, incorporating a Kelly Jones-esc vocal. They followed this with "Sonny's Daughter" an anthem which again highlighted the groups solidarity and synergetic qualities. Another tune which radiates optimism, reminiscent of the Libertines in their prime. Perhaps the highlight of the slot came towards the end of the set, when a note perfect rendition of The White Stripes classic, "7 Nation Army" was blended seamlessly into 80's cult smash "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics. An inspired mix, which worked perfectly and drew a great reaction from the audience, highlighting the intelligent musical minds of The Sass.

Where did your band form & how?The band formed originally in Mansfield, couple of lads had a few songs of their own lying around and decided to bring them in and call ourselves The North!
Who are your biggest influences?Too many to mention; Oasis, Kasabian, The Who, Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, Fleetwood Mac/ Peter Green, The Jam, The Beatles, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club etc…
What genre does your music fit into?Ooh good question not really a fan of genres, so we will let you decide that!

Stillia are self-taught musicians who've come together to create a unique sound influenced by their rock 'n' roll heroes such as The Beatles, The Who The Stone Roses and more. They've spent time in the rehearsal studio refining their sound and their musicianship and the end result is a tight hard rocking unit with strong songwriting ability. Whilst they site many influences they've managed to carve out their own style.
Their single 'You Only Live Once' is true to their youth and their North Western heritage. No fake US vocalising here as the St Helens lads launch into the track 'We like to party we like to have fun - coz we are wild and we are young.....We don't care what others say - we'll do what we want, we'll do it our own way'. It's a proper 'rocknrolla'.

Where did you get your strange name from, does it have a good story behind it?The name Stillia came about when we were thinking of names for the band and Matty was saying the worst band names. Jack said to Matty “are you still here” and suddenly we thought that would be a good name for the band, so we changed still here to Stillia, its silly but it stuck.

As front man of a top Oasis tribute band, Steve (Liam Gallagher Experience) has established himself as one of the top Liam Gallaghers on the live circuit.
Using professional backing tracks, this one man show creates the complete Oasis gig experience and includes the classic hits you would expect to see on an Oasis greatest hits tour.
Steve also has the ability to switch to live guitar to reproduce those more intimate Noel Gallagher moments. He has 18 years live experience and has just returned from a succesful Summer season in Corfu performing up to 6 nights a week.
Steve has headlined Festivals across the UK and played all main stages at Butlins holiday camps.
The Liam Gallagher show can also include a tribute to Noel Gallagher with Live Guitar and all shows include full costume - so there is always the look and sound of the real thing!
With top class backing tracks used, which have been made personally to ensure complete soundalike of the originals, a massive setlist so that most requests can be played (even if rare b-sides) any Oasis fan is in for a cracking time!
The act can also be adjusted to suit any venue both with setlist and the behaviour of the Liam Gallagher, i.e. the arrogance can be toned down when required or requested.
Oasis - Liam Gallagher ExperienceFrom £345.00
