I used to work with Mr. V. In the early 2000s we both worked at FCB advertising. I was a production artist and he worked in the print room. Another guy was this NJ italian club DJ who played big records to big crowds in like, Clifton NJ, but was always impressed because I knew people appearing in mixmag like James Murphy or whatever. Mr. V was promoting for Masters at Work and just starting to make tracks. His first records came out while I was still working there and I was psyched he was getting some attention. Another guy who worked there was a techno DJ who hung out at Throb records, more of a gay techno scene. Still, at some point there was like a half-dozen guys working there who were all DJs of one kind or another.
