Free Beer - Nouveau Chapeau (1977)
Unfortunately:
When Elvis died in 1977, RCA let many acts go, choosing instead to focus on repackaging 'The King'. The members of 'FREE BEER' decided to pack it in but have remained friends and in touch and continue to pursue performing and songwriting careers. However, recent interest in the band has motivated this site, and who knows what else?

seriously though that self-titled cover is fucking amazing, can't believe that's not canon "best album covers of the 70s"
― Doctor Casino, Saturday, 16 May 2015 22:12 (eleven years ago)
This thread is better than many museums.
― schwantz, Monday, 18 May 2015 04:56 (eleven years ago)
Speculating that there must be an album out there with a airbrush painting of lumberjacks felling a tree, perhaps with musical instruments as their axes, hollering the title, "TIMBRE!"
― juggulo for the complete klvtz (bendy), Monday, 18 May 2015 12:26 (eleven years ago)
the nouveau chapeau cover would be at home on the 'band photos where one member refuses to play along' thread

Psych bands should arguably be excluded from the thread as I think the intention of the cornball titles was meaningfully different - but still:

Stuff - Stuff It!
― moans and feedback (Dinsdale), Monday, 25 May 2015 17:12 (eleven years ago)
dunno why but i have this feeling Stuff are probably better than most of the bands in this thread, can anyone confirm?
(to wit, have been listening to and enjoying Lighthouse's One Fine Morning, the dollar purchase of which prompted the above posts. it's not bad if you're in the mood for some very optimistic and kinda corny/borderline bubblegum sentiment from your psych-ish rock bands. title track is solid, and there's a great dumb melodramatic number about families on the california gold rush.)
― Doctor Casino, Monday, 25 May 2015 17:21 (eleven years ago)
Kinda liking the Stuff It! cover - the frazzled hair, the way her white shorts make her top half look disembodied, the fact that "Stuff" in concentric circles is apparently their logo.

Krokodil's keyboardist Hardy Hepp cleaned up nicely for his solo career:

Adding the exclamation point to Boys Will Be Boys! just makes it so much worse, for some reason.

Is there supposed to be some kind of a pun here, based on the adjective and noun meaning of "potty"? Shouldn't the guy be sitting on a potty then?
― Tuomas, Tuesday, 9 June 2015 13:31 (eleven years ago)
I thought "potty" meant "quirky" in English-as-spoken-in-England.
― the top man in the language department (誤訳侮辱), Tuesday, 9 June 2015 13:35 (eleven years ago)
Maybe it's like, a little party, hence him being shrunk to mushroom size, but Herbie is also a little potty?

Ah, okay, I get it.
