vibe of this is so subdued and i don't know how down i am with that. love "just might be" of course, really into "check" and "dream"

I was missing the Triumphant Thugger so I put on Fuck With It and Who's On Top for a few times

yeah it's not a question of zaniness or something but he doesn't really push himself vocally on this. im missing, like, a "condo music" or something.

the hooks on here also don't seem nearly as memorable as those on previous mixtapes? and i get he's going for a different vibe here but i just listened to givenchy again and, like, every single line is insanely melodic and that sort of vocal virtuosity works on multiple levels. that just doesn't happen as much on barter 6 from what i can tell. there was a clear progression from i came from nothing to 1017 thug to the various singles that came before tha tour pt 1 but i'm not seeing much of a step forward here :|

this is great, especially the second half although I think my favorite moment rn might be Birdman's very obviously Thugger-penned verse on "Knocked Off".

I kind of feel like the vibe is really different? Like way spacier and less ~smooth~ than Rich Gang? (The ATLiens to its Southernplaylistic?) They are both definitely on a mellower tip than a lot of his stuff before tho true.
