Yeah was a bit sad Beat It wasn't on the album. Also, Jacquees stated on twitter that that's not him and it's Jeremih on the track. Also my previous comment about features seems dumb now that I forgot that With That has a feature too.

i'm so confused, where is Barter 6? only on iTunes in like New Zealand and people are downloading copies leaked from that?

some dude, Thursday, 16 April 2015 16:34 (eleven years ago)

classic new zealand early launch very nice

lag∞n, Thursday, 16 April 2015 16:40 (eleven years ago)

Wow why didn't anybody tell me Barter 6 was out

, Friday, 17 April 2015 00:42 (eleven years ago)

barter 6 is out

lag∞n, Friday, 17 April 2015 00:42 (eleven years ago)

is it barter as in like, the system of exchange? or, what's the letter next to c in the alphabet?

flopson, Friday, 17 April 2015 00:46 (eleven years ago)

I was going to watch Daredevil because my twitter feed told me to but now I am going to listen to this whole Young Thug album because my Twitter feed told me to

, Friday, 17 April 2015 00:59 (eleven years ago)

it feels a bit aimless, less electric than 1017 thug

first track is nice tho

Does seem to lack in energy

, Friday, 17 April 2015 01:30 (eleven years ago)

Maybe this is actually the melancholic thugger album that lex was strawmanning for all those months

, Friday, 17 April 2015 01:39 (eleven years ago)

on spotify btw

Premise ridiculous. Who have two potato? (forksclovetofu), Friday, 17 April 2015 02:07 (eleven years ago)

vibe of this is so subdued and i don't know how down i am with that. love "just might be" of course, really into "check" and "dream"

I was missing the Triumphant Thugger so I put on Fuck With It and Who's On Top for a few times

, Friday, 17 April 2015 02:18 (eleven years ago)

yeah it's not a question of zaniness or something but he doesn't really push himself vocally on this. im missing, like, a "condo music" or something.

J0rdan S., Friday, 17 April 2015 02:56 (eleven years ago)

the hooks on here also don't seem nearly as memorable as those on previous mixtapes? and i get he's going for a different vibe here but i just listened to givenchy again and, like, every single line is insanely melodic and that sort of vocal virtuosity works on multiple levels. that just doesn't happen as much on barter 6 from what i can tell. there was a clear progression from i came from nothing to 1017 thug to the various singles that came before tha tour pt 1 but i'm not seeing much of a step forward here :|

i hope he shakes every asshole fan who wish he would make meme music they could tweet about

deej loaf (D-40), Friday, 17 April 2015 04:23 (eleven years ago)

Lol. I'm totally with deej on this one. Sure, I would have loved an obvious hit. But yeah, I love this as it is.

longneck, Friday, 17 April 2015 04:28 (eleven years ago)

really love the last three tracks, especially the swelling choral on "od"

"beat it" with jeremih should be the huge hit.

ANU (sisilafami), Friday, 17 April 2015 09:01 (eleven years ago)

I think it makes sense he's going for the same vibe as rich gang since his most popular songs are 'lifestyle' and 'all about the money'.

ANU (sisilafami), Friday, 17 April 2015 09:02 (eleven years ago)

this is great, especially the second half although I think my favorite moment rn might be Birdman's very obviously Thugger-penned verse on "Knocked Off".

also btw, who is "wheezy 5th"

The Reverend, Friday, 17 April 2015 10:10 (eleven years ago)

whoever they are is an amazing person

"OD" hits me so hard

I kind of feel like the vibe is really different? Like way spacier and less ~smooth~ than Rich Gang? (The ATLiens to its Southernplaylistic?) They are both definitely on a mellower tip than a lot of his stuff before tho true.

The Reverend, Friday, 17 April 2015 10:17 (eleven years ago)

I sincerely hope Birdman is paying BG's legal fees.

weird deej opinion. doesn't really pass the "is there a hit?" smell test

wtf i like tons of rap albums without obvious hits

deej loaf (D-40), Friday, 17 April 2015 14:46 (eleven years ago)

call me when you've heard an organized konfusion LP lol

deej loaf (D-40), Friday, 17 April 2015 14:47 (eleven years ago)

this might sound crazy but young thug is not organized konfusion

J0rdan S., Friday, 17 April 2015 14:47 (eleven years ago)

actually young thug is organized konfusion, sry

lag∞n, Friday, 17 April 2015 14:48 (eleven years ago)

my point is since when has 'does it have a hit' been a requirement for albums i like

deej loaf (D-40), Friday, 17 April 2015 14:49 (eleven years ago)

esp rap albums

deej loaf (D-40), Friday, 17 April 2015 14:49 (eleven years ago)

if anything i have given up on rap that actively aspires to have top 40 hits

deej loaf (D-40), Friday, 17 April 2015 14:49 (eleven years ago)

i'm not talking about top 40 hits. but like, what are the songs on this tape that are gonna last?

J0rdan S., Friday, 17 April 2015 14:51 (eleven years ago)

was this thing released "as an album" just cause of some contract requirement, kinda weird for it to have birdman all over it and not be on cash mon

lag∞n, Friday, 17 April 2015 14:51 (eleven years ago)

all of them

my favorite is 'halftime'
