witch house! i didn't know they had that around anymore. awesome song & video too. in the middle of watching a girl walks home alone at night, and it fits right in. also someone has seen under the skin. spooky styley.

on first contact it's interesting how little he gives a damn about contemporary trend

tyler does some audible backing vocals on one song ("off top") and left brain produced one song but even the rest of the beats are all earl

I saw him about a month ago and he was pretty bad. Couldn't sustain any energy for more than a song or two, couldn't get the crowd going, didn't even really have a grasp of the basics of putting on a rap show (his DJ fucked up song cues a lot, too). Shockingly amatuerish, all around.

Didn't help that it was one of the youngest, most inhibited crowds I've ever seen at a rap show. Lots of gangly high school kids who worship this guy but expressed their reverence with silence.

i'm sure the lyrics are ~really deep thoughts but he doesn't make them sound captivating at all

the whole album is a dirge but it's potent rather than enervated. so oppressive it's tactile, blotting out the space

I liked that last album til Things Happened and I lost my entire saved stuff, but I was playing some loosie playlist this morn and ohoho, this stood out, my mother busted in my house midway through and we drunk coffee and ate angel cake, but I noted this one (out of the 3 I heard that day) as the one to come back to, and yeah it's awesome, maybe not if you're into Earl for the rhymes but, that loop was in my skull all afternoon, drinking coffee with my maw and trying to stay genteel.
