This thread got me thinking about this band again and in doing a little research found out that there were two albums released before YPAA. Never knew this! Anyone heard these? Worth seeking out?

Fantastic news! Trying to decide if I can hold out for the physical version in September. Very doubtful.

Still one of the best shows I saw in college was when these guys headlined an outdoor festival at West Side Park in Champaign in 1996.

Yeah, it's why I'm holding off for now. I'd love to do this while holding the physical thing in my hand to start at the cover, but since they won't even be shipping until the end of August that seems very... unlikely.

Working my way through the post-Fillet Show discography today and just, wow. I'd argue three perfect albums in a row with Astronaut > Downward > Inlet.

I still can't believe how good Inlet is, especially after such a long break (decades!). I need to remember this the next time we have a poll about great late-period / comeback albums

I bought a Hum hoodie from Matt Talbot's distro and it came in a box with an Airheads candy in it. Then I looked at the Hum Starsposting FB group and learned that he does that with all orders.

Shows announced out of nowhere today: NYC, Chicago, LA. The band's FB page had a pre-order code, I managed to score two to the Chicago show in May. Kind of weird they're just surfacing out of nowhere, but also typical for their behavior this century. Also, they're bringing Shiner's drummer along, which is something they've done in the past. Looking forward to it!

I doubt I can make it to any of these but maaaan do I want to hear Inlet songs live. Always wanted to see Cloakroom on the same bill...
