doesnt really sound like that at all now you hear the wav, strangely enough. more like uh... "hoin' it" lol

and on that note, may as well jot down some thots

- set 2 die 4, stunning, fantastic

- the disparity between having q sets and not having q sets is like... uncomfortably ridiculous now, pains me to say i listened to loads of other shows during the hiatus and while yeah it's always pleasing you lose the focus, it's sentimental, little bit marginal, new remix from an old fave here and there.... with q it's so alive it's so everywhere and so everything, why would you listen to anything else? crazy, some tlon uqbar shit.

- which is not to say that q is unsentimental, far from it, just it's made more constructive than maybe ppl tweeting majestic's ukg show requesting deekline 'sexy cinderella' cos it reminds them of the funfair. actually that's p great idk what i'm saying any more

- not gonna rehash everything about intuitive balance, masterful twirling surefootness on the precarious ukg highwire etc ('crocodile tears' into the 'ghost' r u mad?) but it's a good pointer that the (elsewhere marginal, if that) two bdot/lorenzo cuts have become q set totems (also cf that fab new bassboy 'rainbow' one, sweet tooth in a dirty mouth). also the tina arena /ne-yo prom dance duet was v emotional i shed a tear plus the beat mix is INSANE

- only the single, v casual todd deployment but how clever is it though?! finally subtle warm candlelight for tom zanetti's amorous murmurs

- this much fun this regular may destroy me, i can't wait

feel i maybe went a little unfairly overboard wrt q vs other djs, like there's little wrong with mike delinquent's shows, the first of preditah's new one i heard and it sounded cute (ill blu's not so much tbh) and also i see cartier just started on rinse saturdays, half hour in on that and it's not too shabby at all, v switched on

'gold teeth' is def super bad taste but then is obv designed to be... kinda admire redlight for even bothering to double down on '9ts' and tbh i now have a grisly urge for him to make 12 more and release a resplendently terrible trash album of it all

one thing you do kinda find with these mixes is that they're so well woven it's almost weird and strange to then appraise the tracks in them individually (as such, obv they're all mostly intended as functional), especially so if you're finding things for the first time
