well for one i do agree this is an emotional house song at heart where the classixx song was a straight-up pop song ime.

also the classixx song was amazing and this song is just fine.

there is a youtube of her performing this live on TV as victoria secret models walk up and down a catwalk that has vietnamese subtitles and the aspect ratio is all fucked up and there's lots of crowd cheering and its actually kind of awesome, i had it on a loop for about an hour the other nite

I'm not exactly a Taylor Swift fan but this song is really great. gr8080 is right about that italo bassline, it makes the song.

Funny that I never really grokked the dorkiness of "Rather Be" (despite the Pentatonix cover); to my ears, it's "hip UK dance-pop" in the same vein of Disclosure, Duke Dumont, etc.

I've come around in a big way to that one disclosure song, heard it all the time on r&b radio and it sounded so great in that context

it's almost there's been an intense well documented effort to whitewash the US charts and top 40

For 2015, we're substituting the nominations process for the playlists of the top 20 clothing retailers.

Gawd, what passes for mainstream pop at this point is so completely anathema to me I can't take it.
