yeah Vemillion, which is better than I'd remembered, is clearly a testament to TSJ's influence on ILM

if blank space places this high i assume style (which was my only tswift vote) places in the top 3

i have no idea how anyone misheard the line as "starbucks lovers" which wouldn't even have made grammatical sense

one of my initial favourites off the swift album that's fallen slightly in my estimation since but which is still a very excellent pop song

i thought this was a bad song and one of her worst singles for a bit but the songwriting is pretty incredible

still wish it had a "sound" ... i don't really understand what it's supposed to be, but that's a small potatoes critique

How is this better than Shake It Off? IDGI and I doubt I'll ever get Taylor Swift.

I owe my discovery of (and votes for) Vermillion and Quarterback to The Singles Jukebox. Normally it's so kvetchy that the few times they get above 8.0 I know it's going to be great.

I totally heard it as "Starbucks lovers," but I wasn't really paying enough attention to what she said before that to determine whether it made sense. "style" for instance is at least a "sound" even if it's just a total pastiche, i'm glad it's the next single

Blank Space was not one of the initial favorites on the album but grew on me and has been such a welcome single and hit - part of it is starting to pay attention to and anticipate the lyrics.

just the song, I'd think. Her music's always been just fine to me but nothing that really engaged me all that much; idk what it is about this song but it just really snagged me.

Blank Space has grown on me hugely thanks to my daughters' obsession with it. To them Shake It Off is like Happy, it's fun, it's fine, but Blank Space is like Let It Go - they hang on every word, relish every syllable. After a zillion listens I love the pacing, the delivery, the humour, the rock-solid craft of it.
