kinda bored of these results but I slightly like young thug now, so I'm torn

feel like the "Quarterback" video unwisely defuses some of the horror of the lyric at the end there, maybe the song was just TOO REAL otherwise

great track though didn't make my ballot. love hearing thugger on what could be a classic ugk beat - that organ <3 - and tip was so good that i briefly thought his album might be a return to form (it wasn't)

Is the Kira Isabella album good?

yes

Kira Isabella – "Quarterback" – I halfway on board w/ this song, but my appreciation depends 100% on the lyrics. Aside from that, it's not awful and I actually like her singing, but the basic sonic stamp of contemporary pop country utterly repels me. My loss.

I read the lyrics and they're chilling and depressing, really effective but I feel the same way, I can't get past the modern country pop production. If this was produced to sound more like I dunno Bobbie Gentry's Ode to Billy Joe I'm sure it would be one of my favorite tracks of the year. As it stands the production makes me quit halfway.

I forget to check for new T.I. stuff because he hasn't made a solid album since 2007 (and that is arguably being generous to t.i. vs. tip). It's half-exciting and half-frustrating when he's occasionally great on a track.

Can't wait to see The War on Drugs' album place in the top 10.

If I'd voted for a sixth Young Thug song it probably would have been "About the Money". I love the lived-in, churchy production and Thugger is great on it. "I'm going fishin' with these little bitty shrimp dips" is one of my favorite YT lines. But it suffers a bit from the same problem as everything T.I. has done in the past 5+ years, where yeah he's technically great but also comes off really soulless in a way he didn't used to.

when i was in texas last year they kept playing some uptempo remix of 'all about the money' on the radio..anyone have any idea what it could be?

Not a fan of the beat but I like seeing how they build those.
