idk it's pretty much the most palatable song I've heard by her, but that only makes it like a 5/10

I have no idea whether Becky G exists irl but I discovered "Shower" via the rolling worst music thread and then I listened to it 20 times in a row. My #4.

i dunno.. everything else i heard by her just didn't appeal to me very much at all. i get that people like the country-tinged dear diary boy/girl lyrics or whatever but it's just not my cuppa choice.

was this a hit??? last time i looked becky g existed only on pop messageboards as a byword for a laughable flop

it was a minor hit in the states (top 20). it seems like the label wanted it to be bigger b/c they postponed the album. she is still basically seen as a laughable flop.

ha this is really good tho. totally slept on it. when the echoing backing vox come in! i like how the verses, bridge and chorus all feel really different but not just pasted together

It's totally an okay song. I'll probably happily listen to it several more times.

Highest song on my ballot to place so far, discovered it through the summer jams thread but it's such a joyous pop song.

Yeah, this is a major guilty pleasure.

I can see why this is a flop, the recorder/flute sound in the chorus doesn't have enough punch for commercial radio. Even makes the song sound a bit melancholic. It was the only part of the song I liked, though.

I only really have one opinion about Taylor Swift and it's really more of an indisputable fact than an opinion, and that is that every spoken aside in a Taylor Swift song is corny and bad

one of the odder Billboard calls of the year was "Shower" appearing on the rap charts, much more melodic delivery on there than the stuff I've heard where Becky G really raps (although she kinda sings in a Migos flow at one point)

a migos cover of shower (featuring thugger) would win this thing in a walk

lol yeah, I don't think it'll be on this list but the satellite radio hip hop station still plays it a bunch, and at its peak it was probably once per hour
