my ex was rly into "Solo Dancing" so I don't like it v much

I didn't vote for any Taylor Swift in this poll but I don't mind "Shake It Off"

Bleah, "Shake It Off" gives me the hives most of you seem to get from "All About That Bass"

i wish the production was richer and the bridge didn't exist but otherwise it's kind of impeccable

why do people hate 'shake it off' so much? i'm not really that invested in tswift but is it because it's quite a different style for her? i find it ludicrously catchy.

i think this song is fine and possibly good

I didn't vote for it and yes the breakdown is lame but there's something about the layers of melody that build up over the choruses that really works for me.

That it's deliberately clunky, needlessly arty and culturally appropriative?

yes "shake it off" is catchy but the lyrics are some inane scribbles t-swift found in katy perry's bin, the production is thin and cheap and maybe it could've been elevated by one of her transcendent bridges but this bridge is the opposite of transcendent

if it was by rita ora or whoever then it'd be whatever but it's just so far beneath swift's standard

xps ah i see. yeah i like it as a piece of infectious pop fluff. a very rare occasion where i was in my local shop and i found myself hooked to whatever was on the radio.

The label should have filled the 'shake it off' video with masturbation innuendos.

It seems to be the video trend in 2014. Turn every music video into a Gap commercial. Meghan Trainor's vid is also guilty of this.

And that will happen again this year. Shake it off is just one of the weaker ones imho xp to Emily

i'm surprised SIT wasn't a lot higher either though. as a song it feels like an ILM hit, even if the bridge is a bit daft and it's not up to swift's usual standard.

well its more of an industry wide money problem leading to these trends wld be my theory, but yeah any video thats shot in studio w like no set even is gonna be as cheap

there's a few good cover versions of swift songs and (given the number of tracks likely to place and the considerable infamy of taylor v spotify this year) I hope no one minds if we commemorate the swizzy cuts with covers for the moment. When/if the cold war ends, I will alter appropriately for posterity.
