one of my favourite songs of 2014 was this z-ro song

cant believe kev and dan are trying to clown me about this emo rap xp im frankly embarrassed for them tbh

maybe z-ro and nate dogg's music should be better described as rappy sings, not singy raps, this is important

aphex makes some really ugly ass boring music, probably not a fair assessment seeing as I haven't listened too him since his drill n bass period, but the prejudice remains and I just know I won't like it.

if nate dogg is too gangster to be in the emo-rap lineage than bone thugs definitely are

terje is pleasant enough but ive used up my opinions for the year at this point

making my way through the playlist now, prob will skip stuff i've already heard/like...this rita ora song isn't terrible but mostly bc it's not markedly identifable as rita ora or anybody else really, it's just an ok lacking-in-identity pop song

feel like a lot of the emo rap discrepancies boil down more to generational differences than like musical things or specifically hiphop culture things

Isn't the story on It's Album Time that it really was unfinished, due to some health crisis in Terje's family last year?

Delorean Dynamite sounds like all the other "outrun" stuff based on the old Cannon film incidental music, except it's higher profile due to him being him. I dunno. No bigs.

So am I, coming down with flu and it can't be unrelated, listening to all these is very draining! Luckily I can tell with most of them if I dislike within 5 seconds due to awful sound palette, but even so

The todd Terje album was a non event to me and I love todd Terje but as soon as I heard Delorean Dynamite I knew it'd be amazing if I ever heard it out and when I finally did it was. My 2nd pick to place and knew itd be one of the few.

That song was really the beginning of the end for Katy B. Guy Chambers really should not have been allowed anywhere near her.

I was like "uhhhh" when I heard it a year (!) ago but Katy made this Diane Warren-esque pop ballad work.

Obv expressive emotional range has always been a thing in rap though. Mind Playing Tricks on Me is one of the most forlorn songs ever.

was really surprised by the negative reaction to this one when it dropped. katy gives it everything and at one point i configured a youtube this year to have that outtro on loop
