I like Spoon well enough. There, you can call them indie if you like. They've never released a perfect album, but there are always a few choice cuts from each release. This is the one that stuck out most the one time I listened through to the latest one. Similar vibe to 'Us & Them' by Pink Floyd crossed with 'Huey Newton' by St Vincent.

don't really listen to much indie any more, but played the shit out of this Spoon lp. this was one of my least faves on it though.

No, I mean I think the guy has totally unrealistic expectations about them being a huge band. That's why he keeps trying to sign to major labels. "It's gonna work this time, I can feel it!"

I'm pleased to note there's 6 acts named Fork, the most popular being a Norwegian hardcore band.

The difference between hearing this on my macbook speakers and my monitor room is INCREDIBLE.

Please rent a studio and enjoy this album in a high quality setup, it deserves it.

love that Spoon showed up, one of the best songs on their latest album. oh and Johnny Fever hates them has a thing about posting that opinion even in Spoon threads.

voted 4 the album but this is such a wonderful song, i remember him playing it on his comeback tour a few years ago and finally getting a studio version out of nowhere was one of the best days in 2014

tbc, I'm not part of the kneejerk anti-indie people in these threads. I spend probably half of my music listening time listening to indie things. But consensus indie picks around here are terrible usually.

i mean i voted for it bcz it's a jam but damn
