I was just under the impression that a lot of the Twitter comments were jokes because I have a hard time believing that there are people out there who listened to that track and thought "Man, that guy playing the piano in the background of this song is going to blow up huge. I'm going to go on Twitter to find out who he is, instead of Googling it". It just doesn't feel like the type of song where his contributions stand out enough to warrant a comment like that sincerely. And do people usually make comments about that for people that are actually unknown? I don't pay enough attention to social media to know if people thought Mr Hudson was going to blow up huge circa 808s and Heartbreaks.

"wolves" sounded like a not-very-good version of a modern kanye song, this one sounds more to me like something you would write explicitly for a runway show or smoething

there were moments on ye and the other few albums he produced recently have been good too. i don't think his output has been embarrassing.

re. the trump stuff: it doesn't seem like he understands what he is talking about. he uses his trump support to signal that he's not "controlled" by the pop culture consensus that surrounds him. he doesn't say that he wants to stop immigration or anything like that. not that what he is doing is harmless, just that i have no idea how to interpret it.

i will say that he doesn't seem very happy and his kind of frantic grasping at platitudes -- "choose love," "escape the sunken place" -- are kind of heartbreaking. i doubt many people have embraced trump bc of kanye.

If anything it just enforces the idea that people supporting Trump are morons.
