The BA bow bow BA sound like speeder bikes from Return Of The Jedi (and thus I feel like I'm 5 when that song is on)

I do not like that new Slipknot tune, and I like a few of their singles. Co-sign on the "Rocket Skates" love though - massive tune. (That or "Leathers" or "Tempest" would have been fine parallel-universe inclusions.)

You know one of these things in isolation seems like just another tech deal, but viewed as a whole, I think it speaks to the ongoing rapid changes in content

So a higher quantity of blogs weigh into people's decisions more now? Or do you mean bloggers are less likely to follow masses because they want to pride themselves tastemakers with unique opinions?

...and almost everyone is a blogger so there is less mass hype merely based on pitchfork's perspective on a given artist?

Well, I don't know if that's really the result though. Certain BNM albums fall through the cracks (but it's always been that way), and certain BNM albums explode (but it's always been that way). I'm not sure if there ability to break artists is measurably worse than it's ever been.

obv its their prerogative to cover whatever they choose (and i've benefited tremendously from their attn throughout the years), but a lot of the folks on this list are straight up 'pop' artists who won't notice the honor of being included on this list one way or the other.
