That's what I was looking for, but none found.. Marital Bliss is a great knockoff of the Lockhorns.

The best band by a huge mile & great CD too, November 23, 2004
Reviewer: Damon G. Bransom "Anime the choice of a New Generation" (Sydney) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I first found out about the Ladies from the QuickTime samples of an old Mac OS 8 Install CD (There Apple Masters btw) & have been hooked ever since.

I have to say this is my favourite out of all there CD, I'm not saying it's there best or they have not done better or evolved musically since this CD as I believe they have. It's just one of my all time favourites.

The thing I love about the Ladies is there sense of fun, whimsy, heart, soul & mateship (listen to the commentaries on there DVD's there so funny!). Also the fact that musically there brilliant & Stephen Page has a voice that an angle would be envious of. Check out there live CD's cause when Steve sings 'Break Your Heart' live... well you know the reason I'm a huge fan & you should be too.

Just get this CD & the rest of them too & the DVD's, Inflatable dolls, T-Shirts, action figures, etc... I am sure the Ladies all need new kitchens or help putting there kids through school or retire to houses in the country. Also you will be doing yourself a huge musical favour too!

There music won't cure the common cold but my god it will make you happy your alive!

Oh my gosh these guys are awesome!, February 22, 2001
Reviewer: Mike Blume (CA United States) - See all my reviews
My friend Adam got me into BNL over winter break, and this is still my favorite album, absolutely tons of great songs, including my favorite song in the whole entire world, which I'm listening to right now, If I Had A Million Dollars, which is really incredibly beautiful, and funny, and romantic, all at once, I don't know how, plus there's the line "I'd buy you a fur coat (but not a real fur coat that's cruel)" which always makes me think of this one girl I really really like (quite possibly the most wonderful human being in the universe) who's a BNL fan and a vegetarian just like me, oh, and the banter between verses, anyone here actually tried Kraft Dinner with Ketchup? The two tastes just don't mix, it goes in your mouth and you're like "oh, there's some Kraft Dinner, oh, there's some ketchup," completely separate, oh, Grade 9, I love, um, crazy's very weird, but very good, King of Bedside Manner's hilarious, and very loud and upbeat (helps keep me up when I'm pulling an all-nighter), um, so just buy the CD already, or borrow it, or something, you've got to hear these guys!

The N in N*SYNC stands for NERDS.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:08 (twenty years ago)

It's best to imagine the sounds each of them were making as this photographic wonderwork was snapped for the ages. Especially hatboy and goatee in the back there, goatee is all loud, monotone "AAAAAAAAAAA" and the hat is doing a nasally "nyeeeehhhhh" sound, while the two nerdlinger dudes in the bottom left are probably making back-of-the-throat gurgly noises, and the fat guy from N*Sync on the right is like "yeah boy" in a chipmunk voice.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:13 (twenty years ago)

There is no killing that will smite them dead enough.

I suddenly wonder if anyone's kept track of The Most Unhelpful Review Ever Posted. 0 for 11 would seem hard to top.

P.S. I love the band but that cover is hard to forgive. I tell myself they must've still been in high school or something.

OMG is shouty guy wearing a straight-jacket!?! He so "crazy"!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:42 (twenty years ago)

BNL1: I'm the "crazy" one, can't you tell by the straight-jacket?
BNL2: I'm the "cool" one, can't you tell by the beret?
BNL3: I'm the "down" one, can't you tell by my prepped-for-fistcrunch pose and vaguely blackular hair?
BNL4&5: We were in the chess club!

i think it was lower-left.

petesmith (plsmith), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:47 (twenty years ago)

Why do the two guys in the left corner have the exact same pair of dork glasses? Are they CHN issued or something?

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:47 (twenty years ago)

I especially like how beret-dude's jaw is all crookedy. Like he was involved in some kind of horrible blowjob accident.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:48 (twenty years ago)

...and had to BITE SOME SHIT. Hence the expression on straight-jacket dude's face.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:48 (twenty years ago)

Not to mention the straight-jacket.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 19:48 (twenty years ago)

is the pepsi logo attacking them, passively?

carly (carly), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 22:16 (twenty years ago)

It's about to jump down curlytop's throat.

kaygee (kaygee), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 22:21 (twenty years ago)

I have to give BNL this much... I never expected they would have a second album.. and several followups. And still exist today.

I thought the same of Teenage Fanclub after Bandwagonesque too.

I gave some other bands from 1991-1992 far more promise, and.. well.. they just didn't survive..(some literally)

The early 90s was a time of deception indeed.

Yes, much like the Teletubbies' scary baby-sun.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Wednesday, 7 September 2005 23:33 (twenty years ago)

Hold on, you're ripping on them because they're not as cool as Sailor Moon? Way to come off like the shift supervisor at the poutine shack, King Retard.

dude, nothing is as cool as Sailor Moon. not even you.
now get back to work, you still have like 3 hours left on your shift.

I actually like the album, but wow, I probably wouldn't have if my copy had the cover at the top. How do you buy something like that?

Vinnie (vprabhu), Thursday, 8 September 2005 13:22 (twenty years ago)

seriously though, guys, this album is really really great.

shut the fuck up, you commie! you're either with us or against us! now take a shot against these geeks or die standing by your 'principles.'

richard wood johnson, Thursday, 8 September 2005 15:55 (twenty years ago)

Looks like they found a replacement for Jerry Lewis.

If I can enjoy an album with no absolutely no irony that has this cover:

or this album...

..then I don't see the big deal with Gordon.

First of all, Bob & Doug is supposed to be comedy, eh?

As far as the others, it's one thing to try not to be funny and be funny. It's even worse when an artist tries to be funny and isn't funny.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Thursday, 8 September 2005 17:39 (twenty years ago)

And I feel kinda guilty everytime I see that "Notifications Sent Successfully!" line come up everytime I hit "submit".

Then again, maybe I don't.
