also i'm willing to bet that they're gonna have an american single that is not in the vein of these tracks at all

i like tough love more than this, but it's worth noting that this is going to "appear on the deluxe edition" of the album, which makes me think it's a bonus track

if that's b-side material (or deluxe edition add-on whatever) then i can only believe the non-single tracks are going to be bonkers amazing.

Stevie Deux from what I saw at her show (on the last tour), the new album will include parts of magical voice.

I seen her on 2 diff tours but never playing new stuff :-( I hope it's so good

i have total faith in her. also i disagree with the idea that "tough love" is timid / lacking in muscle.

The Deluxe Edition tracks on the Katy B album are the best ones fwiw. That said I don't think Jessie's album will be as monumentally pissed about with as Katy's.

hmmm controversial opinion i guess but i don't really think the little red bonus tracks are anywhere near as essential as y'all made out initially, a decent number of them are pretty boring + sounded better as snippets than they actually did on the album

anyway i'm low-key into this new track and "tough love" remains good, i see no reason for alarm yet

The clear standout on the Katy B album for me is "Emotions", I really hope that is made a single at some point

well, it's as neither-here-nor-there as, say, Devotion's title track.

the first three singles off Devotion were Running, 110%, and Wildest Moments. It's fair to say this album isn't measuring up so far

those singles also towered over the rest of the album

"Sweet Talk" is my favorite on the first album.

it has one song that's bad but still nowhere near as bad as this

strictly speaking "sweet talk" was not a single but it was an advance track that they put out ahead of the full release, which reinforced my feeling at the time that all the best songs off that album came out before the thing itself

Her voice sounds amazing on this but the rest of it is really horrible and it upsets me that I'm thinking that.

i think this is actually pretty decent but maybe that's ptsd from my childhood spent listening extensively to AC radio talking

This was my thought too and I felt really bad for thinking it.

Still Love Me and No To Love are the only songs on Devotion that are less than great but this is much worse than both.

Still Love Me is my favorite song on Devotion

Swan Song is prob the dud from that album. "No To Love" isn't great either and the rap is bad, but the live version is a gem.
