Prefer the White Album with Peewee Longway, who has been sounding like a better version of Young Thugh for a lot of the year.

1017 Thug 2 is pretty OK, too—strong hooks and coherent verses all over that one—but it feels like Thugga is really beginning to suffer for lack of quality control and orderly management this year.

No blame assigned; I just said he's suffering for it. He could really use one marquee release this year to capitalize on his buzz, but instead he's got every person he's ever worked with watering down his brand with odds and ends mixtapes

as much as i appreciate Lil B's name being used as a shorthand for disingenuous 'gay rapper' controversy baiting, that conversation really seemed foisted on Young Thug from the outside

thugger gay rumors seem to have stemmed from people confusing gang terminology for gay which is kinda lol in its own way

also i guess the wearing of womens clothes and sharing of romantic champagne toasts w his homies

I'm continually impressed by how good the Tonight Show makes most rappers sound. That is not easy.

don't get the buzz about the performance, but thugga's outfit is ++++

He seems to raise his game for the big tracks, but most of the mixtapes are 90% filler (as expected) slightly overrated, like 1027 thug, isn't as good as made out in here. YT however, is better than thread gives credit for. Most interesting rapper in years, probably.

these 1017 Thug sequels are Brick Squad/Atlantic putting out old stuff he's recorded right? Not 100% on his label situation. Def. nowhere near the original tho

Skyfall is boring but i like mike will's 'take a picture'—does that sorta spacious let-thugger-be-thugger much more effectively imo

i've liked a bunch of tracks on the gucci collab tapes although they're more album tracks than Singles. I think people have been hating on them because they're not "Stoner" / "Danny Glover" level but IMO that's more essential for showing his depth as an artist, that he's not just a singles jukebox. but you know how it is w/ people chasing whatever's hot, there's not depth or nuance to the understanding of an artist

"Hot Boyz (Intro)" is good

"Texter" was cool ... "Let Up"... "Strange Things"..."You The Best" ... "Ridin Around the City"...those are the ones i remember off the top
