online hardman, Monday, 2 June 2014 17:28 (twelve years ago)

for real?

festival culture (Jordan), Monday, 2 June 2014 17:51 (twelve years ago)

iamsu's stuff sounds often very r&b in delivery and execution to me
the millard story is kinda fucked up

Look at this joke I've recognised, do you recognise it as well? (forksclovetofu), Monday, 2 June 2014 17:51 (twelve years ago)

I've been into the Iamsu! album, good for riding around in the sun. The beat on "Green Light" is totally insane

The Isaiah Rashad record is great. One of those records where the tracks work a lot better on the record than they do individually.
― voodoo chili, Friday, May 30, 2014

it's pretty great track for track. surprised i haven't heard more mainstream love.

Strictly EZ Snappin' Nhex (Spottie), Monday, 9 June 2014 22:23 (twelve years ago)

No Problem

Strictly EZ Snappin' Nhex (Spottie), Monday, 9 June 2014 22:24 (twelve years ago)

i mean the album is called 'Dark Comedy', but it seems extremely sincere to me.

festival culture (Jordan), Monday, 9 June 2014 22:47 (twelve years ago)

i tend to like songs by rappers that are not rap songs.

festival culture (Jordan), Monday, 9 June 2014 22:47 (twelve years ago)

I'll check it for sure, just wasn't sure how to take it. I think I've heard other stuff by him.

Strictly EZ Snappin' Nhex (Spottie), Monday, 9 June 2014 22:54 (twelve years ago)

there's a new Canibus album Fait Accompli on Spotify and holy crap is it bonkers, he's gone full InfoWars

sinister porpoise (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 10 June 2014 15:16 (twelve years ago)

that's New Orleans, but he's not from there, right (Kid Ink)?

festival culture (Jordan), Tuesday, 10 June 2014 15:25 (twelve years ago)

Kid Ink is from L.A., King Los is from Baltimore, they just did a tour together so they must've just shot the video while they were in NOLA. it kinda bums me out that one of the best Baltimore rappers has hitched his wagon to the boringest mainstream rapper out.

some dude, Tuesday, 10 June 2014 15:33 (twelve years ago)

the mike eagle record works reaaally well as an album. some tracks that i wasn't that into sound great in context and it gets stronger as it goes along.

festival culture (Jordan), Tuesday, 10 June 2014 16:36 (twelve years ago)

The Kid Ink album is total rinse but I love that track.

xelab, Tuesday, 10 June 2014 16:46 (twelve years ago)

Really love this track 'Don't Get In My Way' off the King Los tape

Not surprising at all

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 16:37 (twelve years ago)

yeah i think it'd be more surprising if a 2014 Canibus album DIDN'T have an Alex Jones sample

some dude, Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:01 (twelve years ago)

i'm not surprised
it's just really bonkers! i dunno listen to the intro thing, it's goofy and fucked

sinister porpoise (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:18 (twelve years ago)

cool yeah i was wondering about the drums, if they were live...they sound so classic boom bap sample but then i noticed that they did some "live" sounding fills at times and the sound was the same across the songs
