ok, so I'm Not Waiting is the first song from my ballot to actually place. collects into a modest frenzy before i've had a chance to get over the hypnotics of the opening guitar line.

"Heart Factory" first song on mine to place. Is it too early for a TOO LOW ? Always stood out as a DMO highlight for me.

The guitar in "Pompeii" is some of my favorite S-K playing from their whole run.

I like how more people put lie in their top 20 than bottom 5, but the relative lack of worst ballots means we get to go "omg why u not like that one ilx??"

^^So glad this one made it. Had it at #9 on my ballot, the last several voters put it on the list. One of the best car songs of the last 20 years.

xp YESS! "Not What You Want" crept up on me for the poll because it kind of gets lost in the second-half murk Dig Me Out. Their sub-2:00 songs are almost all classic.

Leave You Behind was in my top 10, that's the song I dig out AHOTBO for more than any other. And Not What You Want was a last-minute sub for me, I deleted something else to make room for it. "You think you wanna watch/ I think you better not..."

Agree that Leave You Behind is way too low. It was my number three. Beautiful song.

I feel like maybe "Good Things" siphoned off the votes "Leave You Behind" would receive. I love both of those songs, and feel like they're two sides of the same coin.

I guess I mean they feel like two versions of the same song, but written at different times in life and/or in the specific trajectory of this band. Either way, I love them both. Someone smart said it in the other thread: Sleater-Kinney writes incredible break-up songs.
