these guys... you're either picking up what they're putting down or you're not. I like the first 2 eps better than the new one. the less they try the better I like 'em, and of the vocals I am not a fan. but you know what thumbs up to them and their mission.

and whatever blues control alb has "always on time" is the one you need. scott or whoever.

yikes, at the beginning of Smokin Figs I was afraid I was gonna hate this record. agree that the vocals can be tough to take at times (almost Jon Spencer-ish?)

gets way better as it rolls along and they just zone the fuck out into some raga-rock

As New York 90s indie's official mascot/joke band, I kind of get a kick out of them. I have no idea why I would purchase their record though.

blues control is music for eternity (or at least the next 20 minutes) and endless boogie is music i want to resolve. I like boring music and can't stand the EB.

"New Pair Of Shoes" getting into some hot Beefheart territory, damn.

Never heard of these guys until Pitchfork reviewed Full House Head the other day. Listening to it now, and they are officially the first good band I've ever learned about from that site. The riff to "Empty Eye" is pure Junior Kimbrough awesomeness. What I like about these dudes is that unlike a lot of other contemporary heavy blooze-rawk boogie outfits (Amplified Heat, for example), they don't tip too far in the direction of stoner metal. They're definitely in the spirit of early '70s stuff, but unique. Like this a lot.

Bloody hell is "A Life Worth Leading" the right kind of monstrous boogie jam.

These guys RULE live. Saw them a couple of months back and it was tremendous.

yessss, love the whole new album, but "life worth leaving" is the best. amazing that they keep that riff rolling for 22 minutes and the whole thing is killer.
