how does an autogoon feel about the stanky leg?

― Throwing Puffy under the gay bus, whatever that means (forksclovetofu), Monday, February 23, 2009 8:04 PM (Yesterday) Bookmark Suggest Ban Permalink

seen it a couple of times now, it's okay...but def disproves the whole "anyone can do what soulja boy does" thing....they have zero charisma....

probably the best thing about it is the title and the decision to spell "leg" as "legg"

also brief shots of some EXTRAORDINARILY thick wimmin in black vinyl pants.

Had totally forgot about Hood's verse on the Scenario remix, what a tragedy dude could rip it up.

The Notorious B.Y.O.B. (M@tt He1ges0n), Tuesday, 24 February 2009 22:19 (seventeen years ago)

gawd, the dream has a show at the club tonight and the place is flooded with hangers on. I gotta get the fuck outta here before the fans start up.

Sign I've been hanging around ILX too much.

Me: Check it out. Perez is beefing with Noreaga over twitter.
Friend: Is that the real Noreaga?
Me: Yeah. He owes me a hundred favors.
Friend: What?

gtfoer spurlock (Whiney G. Weingarten), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:15 (seventeen years ago)

i didnt know ilx wrote the lyrics to rick ross's hit song "hustlin"

it's darn and ielle is hot (and what), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:22 (seventeen years ago)

gtfoer spurlock (Whiney G. Weingarten), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:52 (seventeen years ago)

'i used to get it in ohio' is a banger imo

deej da 5'9 (deej), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:55 (seventeen years ago)

I listened to that ohio song and one other new one besides the job one, and really it sounded like the same kinda shit he was on 3 years ago. less 'out there' if anything.

big ban theory (some dude), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:56 (seventeen years ago)

the job one is pretty corny/cartoony. i think its smart that hes going after that midwest $$$ tho

deej da 5'9 (deej), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:57 (seventeen years ago)

unless we mean 'out there in the bottomless pile of shit i don't want to listen to'

xpost - haha does he/you/anyone think namedropping Ohio is going to get him bigger sales or show money in the midwest?

big ban theory (some dude), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 19:58 (seventeen years ago)

i havent checked it yet but this looks awesome
http://philaflava.blogspot.com/2009/02/cloudkickers-remix-lp-homegrown-treat.html

deej da 5'9 (deej), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:00 (seventeen years ago)

hes not just namedropping ohio that entire song is a shoutout to the midwest & i kind of do, its like 2nd city attitude pervades flyover country so we respect those who respect blah blah blah

& i mean there are a lot of rappers out here who are eating entirely off of midwest rap buyers -- who do u think buys tech n9ne cds?

deej da 5'9 (deej), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:01 (seventeen years ago)

you

autogoon opera thread

GOON OPERA vs MOVE ON RMX

it's darn and ielle is hot (and what), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

it is cool to hear him shouting out missouri and nebraska and shit tho

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

yeah i suppose...i mean there's a whole cottage industry in off-the-radar rap scenes where if some big artist mentions your area in a song people jump on that for samples, mixtape drops, etc. like when jay mentioned baltimore on the "go hard" remix some cats i know looped that up and made a song out of it in a matter of days.

big ban theory (some dude), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:03 (seventeen years ago)

i like that ohio song and the job song a lot

the milk one isn't as good.

who cares if he's on his same shit? that's how the dude raps!

what's he supposed to do change his whole style up to induce blog boners?

i dunno, for some reason it's been long enough now that i'm in the mood for new cam stuff again.

The Notorious B.Y.O.B. (M@tt He1ges0n), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:04 (seventeen years ago)

yeah im kinda glad he disappeared

i was reading that illmatic piece in xxl @ the 7-11 & after telling me i wasnt allowed to leaf through the magazines the woman at the counter saw Cam on the cover and was like "what happened to Cam'ron!!!?? wheres he been??"

deej da 5'9 (deej), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:07 (seventeen years ago)

i dunno, for some reason it's been long enough now that i'm in the mood for new cam stuff again.

^^this... i like "i hate my job" cuz it's fun and lighthearted but not like a song about i.b.s.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:07 (seventeen years ago)

Friend: Is that the real Noreaga?
Me: Yeah. He owes me a hundred favors.
Friend: What?

most incredible

its gotta be HOOSy para steen (BIG HOOS aka the steendriver), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:08 (seventeen years ago)

i like "I Used To Get It In Ohio" cuz its all mercenary & midwest gangster sounding

deej da 5'9 (deej), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:09 (seventeen years ago)

i don't think his style is more "out there"; it's that he doesn't have much of a discernible hook on these. They feel roughly structured and oddly unpolished compared to the killa season tracks.

Throwing Puffy under the gay bus, whatever that means (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:10 (seventeen years ago)

cam is killing it

autogoblin (surfboard dudes get wiped out, totally), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:11 (seventeen years ago)

wow how is juelz gonna feel about that

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:11 (seventeen years ago)

i don't know but how do I get a "Preview of the Matrix 12's 'Elz of the Week" column

autogoblin (surfboard dudes get wiped out, totally), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:13 (seventeen years ago)

the subtle breihan namedrop totally outted him

autogoblin (surfboard dudes get wiped out, totally), Wednesday, 25 February 2009 20:14 (seventeen years ago)

m@tt i didn't cam needs to not make music like he used to...if anything i'm glad he isn't chasing any current trends...i was responding to the idea that his new stuff is "out there" in any way.

maybe i'm the only person in the world who never missed cam, can't get that excited for the return someone who was on a downward slide for years before he went away (cf Kingdom Come)

xpost okay forks that makes a lot more sense, thanks for clarifying
