Lennon, Elvis, Hendrix etc (dog latin), Friday, 10 February 2017 10:32 (nine years ago)

miley cyrus - 4x4

illegal economic migration (Tracer Hand), Friday, 10 February 2017 10:39 (nine years ago)

I mentioned this in the other thread, but IMO it's ridiculous that Minnie Riperton's "Les Fleur" has one of the best, most gloriously beautiful choruses in all of Western pop music, yet it's played only twice in the entire song before the it fades out!

I also remember being disappointed to learn that there's no extended version of Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman", which at 4 minutes is way too short for such a disco epic. There is a long house remix from the '80s, but that doesn't satisfy the same need, I'm surprised no one has made a proper old-school disco edit of it.

Tuomas, Friday, 10 February 2017 10:44 (nine years ago)

It was sampled on Dubtribe's 10m+ 'Do It Now' though (in turn inspiring The Juan Maclean's 'Happy House') - someone has probably put all three in a mix at some point.

"Strawberry skies" by Games is way too short. Needs at least one other rep of the"you can give me everything you got" part (or whatever it is she sings)

Current 93 - "Bind Your Tortoise Mouth"
Robert Pollard - "To The Path"
Robert Pollard - "Cats Love A Parade"

Both the Pollard songs end on a quieter note than I would have liked.

That entire Games EP for sure

nashwan, Friday, 10 February 2017 16:33 (nine years ago)

Bowie - 'Chant of the Ever-Circling Skeletal Family'. Always drives me nuts how great a groove that is and how short a time it's actually sustained.

Likely? No. Possible? Absolutely. Iffy? Can't say. Doubtful? Maybe. (Old Lunch), Friday, 10 February 2017 16:39 (nine years ago)
