Dom's about an 8.9. That could change.

ts: thinking someone is girl because you find their "intellect" attractive vs. thinking someone is a girl to "explain away" their bitchiness

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 30 April 2004 00:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, my friend who hosts a krautrock show at my college radio station is always raving about that Walter Wegmuller album. I need to hear it sometime I guess.

If Dom had a nickel for every time he's heard he must be the hottest of chicks...

Matt, I'm a guy. Remember when you were at my wedding? I was the one in the tux.

I was the one in the tux.

Riiight.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Catherine Lewis, but not reviews, as far as I know. Word has it she's hot. Amanda and Sage too. Do threads about them.

dleone (dleone), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I liked Catherine's question of the week, which lasted all of about a month.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I was the one in the tux.

So was I, but you don't see me posting about it to assert my gender.

Sarah Zupko (she of PopMatters) and Susan Moll (of Big Takeover) were staff reviewers briefly.

Mark (MarkR), Friday, 30 April 2004 15:31 (twenty-two years ago)

pfork would do incredibly well to have hopper on staff. as would anyone, really.

todd burns (toddburns), Friday, 30 April 2004 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, maybe Hopper's too big for Pfork now! She's in Da Capo 04!

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Have they announced the pieces for that?

Mark (MarkR), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't seen anything official. If she just got the news yesterday or so, then it probably won't be officially announced for a little while.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't even know who's editing it this year.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 30 April 2004 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

how can it be announced if its only may?

chris andrews (fraew), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 02:15 (twenty-two years ago)

The pieces selected for inclusion are from 2003.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 04:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I just got the following search referral for my blog:

"Dominique Leone" -porn -asses -dominica -football

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 16 July 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

well I don't know how anyone expects to find me without those terms!

dleone (dleone), Friday, 16 July 2004 15:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Much of the Fork staff is actually surprisingly attractive, well-groomed people. Err, were at one point. I don't know many of the newbies.

Dare, Friday, 16 July 2004 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

interesting point; however, i don't think anyone cares about anyone other than the psych-drone goddess DLeone.

That was some shoddy Boredoms reporting

Red Panda Sanskrit (ex machina), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, in my defense, I didn't realize they were going to run stuff I emailed to them about recalling posts at the Yahoo boredoms group. I have posted a correction re: Vooredoms being an Eye pseudonym to the staff webboard.

The best way to read that story is to remember that the first paragraph states "the speculative details are legion!"

dave225 (Dave225), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 12:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I am not speculative.

Dare, Tuesday, 17 August 2004 14:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought that was a terribly awkward thing to post as a news story given that speculation on the new Boredoms has been tossed around here for some months now if I'm not mistaken.

I thought the news story was late, but definitely worth running. In fact, Pitchfork might have been the first non-Japanese CD vendor site to run anything on this - I think everyone else was scared by the amount of speculation required to fill out the details.

dleone (dleone), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 14:48 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, iirc Eye made a big deal about the idea of the band being a dual turntable (which I always took as the meaning of the ∞ symbol). And to me, anything made w/the Eye + drummers formation = V∞redoms. Probably doesn't matter of course.

Dominique, Tuesday, 13 February 2018 19:25 (eight years ago)

Vooredoms was a real thing afaic, in some ways my favorite of all the phases of eyes project. I just wish it was better documented outside of bootlegs. The super roots with the choir doesn’t quite capture the fire
