Hey, cool. They shot most of that video at my friend Ross's bar The Lash, in DTLA. Except I guess the crew brought in a bunch of lasers to make it more telegenic. Seems like a decent single, but I think the chorus repeats once or twice too many times.

it's a good song, and it seems to have a decently wide appeal that some of her other music didn't have, but it's far from my favorite from her

I think I'm actually glad this album has taken three years to get sorted out, because it sounds like it might've been worth waiting for. There's still no excuse for the single with Ryan Tedder.

I'm still a huge fan of "One," and some of the pop demos were cool(ish), but it never seemed quite "right". Bummed that "Femme Fatale" seems lost to the ages, though. That song was great.

i mean this will undoubtedly be more impressive and united than whatever an earlier emi debut would've been but i'm also sort of fearful about the probable quantities of dev hynes

Drug arrest, sex hostage album cover, strung out look in You're Not the One video...I definitely feel some unease and worry for her personal safety, tbh, because I can't tell how much is "just let me be me" and how much "help me!"

her look in the music video and the album cover are deliberate parts of the album's presentation/promotion, while the drug arrest, which we still know fairly little about, is... not.

i don't feel like the video or album art are out-of-character or surprising (not because of the drug arrest but because of her entire aesthetic up til now)

xpost ooh i am glad it exists tho, even with a release date and tracklisting and cover art and all i am still sceptical that this album will come out

sonically what amongst her past work does it most resemble? it's hard to get a hold on where she's at atm, given that all of the songs on ghost were so different stylistically from one another

heard a few tracks from this, very very promising.

Album is out. I've only listened to the iTunes clips and nothing's really blown my mind. I think "You're Not The One" is the best track (which is OK cause it's a good song, but a little disappointing).
