I won't lie I stumbled onto this band online while searching for Japanese crust band Gloom and then found this album, but I'm really glad that I did because it's awesome

and that bassline breakdown on "Trampled to Death" is sick

I used to love going to Milwaukee Metalfests and seeing Macabre live, so fun!

i loved the Britney Spears headset the vocalist used to wear

I just downloaded this but am worried it can't live up to my expectations

some of the silliest vocals ever, that screechy high pitched warble.

this is the riffiest Macabre that exists. and god the drums are thunderous.

this is more in the vein of Dahmer than the unhinged craziness of Gloom, but it's entertaining as hell, as usual. especially the stupid voices both vocalists do.

they really need to find other serial killers to write about. I mean there are hundreds of lesser known ones

the Sinister Slaughter album is pretty dope too (the one after Gloom)

finally got the Grim Reality EP, their first real release. it's only 12 minutes long, six songs. came with both Neil Kernon remix and the original 80s versions. the Neil Kernon remix sucks, it's too clean and polished.

they had already kinda found their sound but it's a wee bit more thrashy without as much grind/death influence. these guys are just fun.

Grim Reality was my introduction to the band. I loved how "Mass Murder" was just three guys taking turns soloing, pretty unorthodox for the time!

they were pretty ahead of their time! kinda sad that their live shows features very little pre-Dahmer music. not that I don't like that album, but Gloom and Sinister Slaughter are my favs.
