Just started streaming it but he sounds kinda sleepy.

Three new Gucci Mane albums yesterday: Purple Album (ft. Young Thug); White Album (ft. Peewee Longway) and Green Album (ft. Migos).

Purple Album sounds OK but hardly has any Gucci verses on it. White Album is sounding awesome on first listen. Not sure if I can stomach more Migos flow though so I might skip Green Album unless people recommend it.

Trap God 3 is way better than it has any right to be at this point.

Funny how his tape with the best verses/beats/song concepts is also somehow one of the ones with the worst sound quality. Not complaining though; I wasn't expecting a tape this enjoyable from him again until at least 2016

Holy shit: Gucci put out three albums earlier this summer that I had never even heard of: Gucci Vs. Guwop, The Oddfather and Trap House 4. I dunno if I'll ever get around to listening to those; I feel like I am still catching up with last year's World War 3 trilogy

Anyway, Gucci's quality control has dipped hard over the last year or so, and a few bad tapes in particular left a sour taste in my mouth (Trap Back 2 marked the start of an ugly slide imo). But overall I'm surprised how much worthwhile music the guy continues to put out. I would've assumed his incarceration would have rendered his latest tapes almost worthless by now, but every few months he still manages to put out a really worthwhile release

When did he have the time to do all the crime though? Dude obv lives in the studio when he's not in jail.

Could some kindhearted soul compile a 'best of' from these last dozen or so tapes?

Another trilogy of mixtapes this week. Anybody heard them? From this point out I'm probably only going to check out his tapes when somebody recommends them; the post-prison drop has been pretty steep

I love Gucci but If you're still keeping up with this stuff you have way more patience (and time) than me. The slew of mixtapes seems more like a ridiculously transparent attempt to maintain some relevance whilst incarcerated, not sure it's working though and as I read somewhere recently he could perhaps learn from Lil Boosie in that respect.

That's an element of that, but what he's doing goes so far beyond simple maintenance. He's on track for 12-15 mixtapes in a year

I think he has 9 new ones out this year already.
