"wait" is pretty awful but man that's good guitar playing. with the double-tapping and whammy bar stuff he almost gets into like pedal steel territory

hair metal solos are an element of music that's not been written about enough, the best of them were so composed and melodic while at the same time guys were really trying to one-up each other in terms of trick and pyrotechnics.....

I always repped for Bratta. I can listen to Pride for his playing. I think a lot of hair metal lead playing was pretty crude (talking about late Sunset Strip stuff) but Bratta actually had the chops that these guys used to claim.

when i was a kid, I didn't really listen to lyrics much, but from the bum warming his hands by the trash can fire in the video, I figured "where the down boys go" was to a homeless camp. like on some open letter to a landlord ish.

I have such a soft spot for the 80's ballads because they show and bring out the feminine side of these supposed hard guys who make womanizing an art form. They truly inside do feel mor for and about females than just the physical. And that is where the inspiration comes for alot of this romantic stuff. Yes some of it is contrived to make money at the time, but alot is also sincere and that is admirable. Guys need to start representing our gender better and showing females how special they are.
