Bought this at the weekend and "Striptease" was the one that really jumped out at me but it's all excellent.

quelle coincidence, been jamming this for the past week. secret weapon = the amazing vocal arrangements, all those harmonies shooting off at unexpected tangents. most girl groups around now, you can't really tell that there are 5 or however many singers in the group, but DK make the most of their numbers here.

'pretty boy' is currently my favourite - that "OW!" after the middle 8 before the chorus floods back in is one of the pop moments of the year for serious - but really the first 3/4 or so is unfuckwithable. '2 of you' = this is the kind of easy, silly fun that xenomania try so hard (and fail) to make these days.

also impressed by how danja's proving himself to be a surprisingly flexible producer - he's able to tailor himself to his performers far better than i'd assumed he would be last year.

I've never heard this band, but their name strikes me as something Pootie Tang would say.

"Damaged" is good. Everything else I've heard by them makes me want to die.

i love Damaged! and Showstopper is so beautiful

"Beautiful" doesn't come to mind when I think of "Showstopper".

I am generally more thinking "stilted", "unfun", "my god this goes on for about 800 years", "so basically there is no God, as a benevolent Father wouldn't allow this to hurt so much", etc

I've only heard 'Damaged', while driving a rental car, but I loved the shit out of it.
