looooooooool:

Brandon Stosuy ‏@brandonstosuy 13m
I think this is the first time Bon Iver's been involved in a song that mentions fisting.

alpine static, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:20 (thirteen years ago)

too bad bon iver's track is three years too late to get a mention on das racist's "fake patois"

I'VE BEEN SPEAKING SWAGHILI gtfo

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 20:46 (thirteen years ago)

12 reviewers in connecticut thought this album's inchoate aggression represented ye's protective primal instinct ahead of impending fatherhood

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:47 (thirteen years ago)

xp lol yes that is a pearl

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:48 (thirteen years ago)

really do feel so mbdtf-rolled by this record

like how could i have been so gullible

i blame j0rdan

HURRY UP WITH MAH DAMN MASSAGE

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 20:51 (thirteen years ago)

'blood on the leaves' is... something, i'll give ye that

something hideously, pitifully ugly but at least of some artistic value compared to the other five in the back end around it

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:54 (thirteen years ago)

The 2nd half isn't as immediate as the first, but I sense grower potential.

billstevejim, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:55 (thirteen years ago)

worst reaction to "i'm in it" ever

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:56 (thirteen years ago)

I might like the back half a bit more than the first half, mostly because I really dislike Hold My Liquor.

Greer, Friday, 14 June 2013 20:57 (thirteen years ago)

I hereby retract "only ten tracks! He hooked me already." Here come the five-minute-plus meditations on hangovers and sweet n sour sauce.

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 20:59 (thirteen years ago)

xp you can't really just bisect the album like that when the end of track 4 is audibly the moment ye's coke dealer locks rick rubin in a cupboard

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:01 (thirteen years ago)

i meant generally speaking. after the first songs kick things off so fucking hard, i kind of expected that to continue nonstop.

billstevejim, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:03 (thirteen years ago)

i have no idea how the critics will react but liking this a lot atm

it's def more MBDTF than i would have liked... like i don't like "hell of a life" at all and a lot of this is in the same vein

but it's also a lot better than that song... even the second half of this is very primal and visceral (i mean, "i'm in it") and i never really got that from a lot of the MBDTF stuff

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 21:19 (thirteen years ago)

it sounds more 808s to me than MBF

Shock G Mo Collier (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Friday, 14 June 2013 21:20 (thirteen years ago)

well it has singing

but the subject matter is pretty far from 808s (a break up album) and much closer to MBDTF where he was, like, rapping about choking women during sex

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 21:24 (thirteen years ago)

now he's smothering Asian pussy with sweet n sour sauce. Progress!

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 21:24 (thirteen years ago)

Guilt Trip is my favorite of the second half

Van Horn Street, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:25 (thirteen years ago)

he cut the "like black kids in chiraq did" line out of "black skinhead" yeah?

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 21:25 (thirteen years ago)

ya, literally visceral more so than figuratively

that song and most of this album is just as hand-me-down patrick bateman as mbdtf was ("black american psycho" duh)

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:29 (thirteen years ago)

rap game tim cook

"Bound 2" is the aural equivalent of Crash. The Haggis Crash too.

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 21:30 (thirteen years ago)

i don't agree with that. i like the integration of discordant samples.

yeah i don't think this is incorrect

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 21:33 (thirteen years ago)

so is American Psycho gonna replace Scarface as totem soon?

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 21:36 (thirteen years ago)

My favorite moment is at 1'16'' of On Sight and for me, it never gets that good again.

Van Horn Street, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:36 (thirteen years ago)

rap game apple maps

i.e. the replacement of blood and gore and parvenu advancement with pillar of society boasting a sleek modern patina behind which lurks all kinds of perversions

You're on to something there!

this happened so long ago that i was actually hoping this would be the album to shake people out of it

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:42 (thirteen years ago)

iirc even 808s didnt feel like the first to flirt with it

r|t|c, Friday, 14 June 2013 21:45 (thirteen years ago)

What's so terrible about Hell of A Life?

Studied keyboard mash (tsrobodo), Friday, 14 June 2013 22:08 (thirteen years ago)

girl I know you want Disick

some dude, Friday, 14 June 2013 22:15 (thirteen years ago)

"Hell of a life" is subconsciously his first song about Kim imo

some dude, Friday, 14 June 2013 22:16 (thirteen years ago)

"hell of a life" and "blame game" are two of his worst songs imo

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 22:16 (thirteen years ago)

the nursery rhyme chorus on "hell of a life" is so wack

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 22:17 (thirteen years ago)

"Blame game" is by faaar my fav song on that album

some dude, Friday, 14 June 2013 22:18 (thirteen years ago)

first four tracks are amazing.
takes a quick nosedive into shitty shit shit territory after that.

BringTheAuBonPain, Friday, 14 June 2013 22:19 (thirteen years ago)

Blame Game is high contender for the best album track Kanye ever did

thot police (fadanuf4erybody), Friday, 14 June 2013 22:34 (thirteen years ago)

fucking hell

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 June 2013 22:36 (thirteen years ago)

lol

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 14 June 2013 22:41 (thirteen years ago)

ok that's too far, i wouldn't put it in the top 20 or anything

some dude, Friday, 14 June 2013 22:48 (thirteen years ago)

that isn't as high praise as it sounds, generally like his singles more than his album tracks, but I do stand by it
