Yeah, I somewhat awkwardly described Gang Gang Dance to people as Siouxsie Sioux fronting Studio, but the album's a lot more heterogeneous than that.

idk - there's something a touch "period piece" about it but i don't mind that on the killer tracks ('blind', 'you belong') - it's just that most of the album doesn't stick in my head for whatever reason. i'd check out the various aeroplane remixes (they have a thread somewhere) in a similar vein...

This album is pretty amazing. My first exposure to them and I'm absolutely loving it. It's all over the place, but in the best possible way. Outstanding production as well.

I'm so amazed at how beautiful this album is. It's like driving through a rainforest hard up against a coastline, and every time you turn a corner you come across an amazing new vista. Except that happens every twenty seconds or so.

Right now this is duking it out with The-Dream and Luomo to be my album of the year. I think it might win.

GGD album, after two plays, is very good, and would've probably gotten into my own top 10 if I'd heard it.

The Gang Gang Dance is absolutely incredible, I voted it #3 but in a different mood it could have been my #1. It just covers an immense amount of ground and does pretty much everything I want my music to do at one point or another.
