i assumed that was e2-e4 :-p

that :-p should be a :-/ cos it's definitely sueno latino and i'm pretty sure it's the mayday mix. stop getting things rong deej ;-)

or something, Friday, 7 March 2008 11:55 (eighteen years ago)

-- max, Friday, 7 March 2008 08:46 (4 hours ago) Link

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:39 (eighteen years ago)

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

OK theres vocals briefly at 4:06

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:50 (eighteen years ago)

dude there's something weird w/ this mp3 for real
i swear when i played it yesterday there were no vocals, and it last 5:38. Now its past 6:00 and there are vocals

WHATS GOING ON

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:52 (eighteen years ago)

i feel like when i was a kid and someone put those candles that don't blow out on my cake

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:52 (eighteen years ago)

i think i've figured out that what happens is no matter where i skip ahead on the progress bar the song isn't actually skipping ahead

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:59 (eighteen years ago)

yeah basically anytime i try to skip ahead in the song it pretends it has skipped ahead in the program but the mp3 itself doesnt skip, so every time i listened around 2:20 or wherever else it was still playing it from the beginning thus giving me the impression i had a 6 min. long instrumental reminiscent of 'lucky star'

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 14:17 (eighteen years ago)

ok wtf is up w/ richie havens singing "its not black, its not white!" in 'back to my roots'? sounds really funny for some reason, like he's explaining why he can cover lamont dozier's song

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 14:25 (eighteen years ago)

Technical question re: iTunes and track lengths

jaymc, Friday, 7 March 2008 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

Oh wait, not the same thing, never mind.

jaymc, Friday, 7 March 2008 15:50 (eighteen years ago)

yeah deej i think its a corrupted file or something

max, Friday, 7 March 2008 15:58 (eighteen years ago)

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:12 (eighteen years ago)

impudent harlot, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:18 (eighteen years ago)

amazed "elle et moi" isn't on that top 25 list

impudent harlot, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:22 (eighteen years ago)

kind of amazed that sebastien tellier is

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:23 (eighteen years ago)

i think that song is pretty good...until he starts singing

impudent harlot, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:25 (eighteen years ago)

oh i like the song a lot, and the singing, it just seems really out of place

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:28 (eighteen years ago)

what other slightly silly "balearic" songs should I be playing at my projected b'day party in may? apart from "Stop Bajon" and "Like an Eagle" and "Life In A Northern Town" and the Larry Levan edit of "Maneater" and "Midnight Man" and "Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes" and "Stranger in the City"...?

deej, Friday, 7 March 2008 22:59 (eighteen years ago)

Deej, congrats on becoming the latest test subject in a study that attempts to clinically prove that MP3s cause listener apathy ;)

oscar, Sunday, 9 March 2008 23:08 (eighteen years ago)

Here's an updated version of Max's comp from above with the whole of the DJ History top 25 Balearic in it. Some of the versions of Max's stuff I've upgraded. E2-E4 is in there but as the 5 min edit version.

It all looks a bit of a mess in the folder coz I got bits from here and there but it should all be tagged nicely for itunes etc.

I have a lot to do today so I've done this as displacement activity.

Raw Patrick, Friday, 21 March 2008 20:23 (eighteen years ago)

does that include the extended versions of the songs i posted or no?

deej, Friday, 21 March 2008 20:26 (eighteen years ago)

I think so. Coz I would have added them to the folder at the time.

Raw Patrick, Friday, 21 March 2008 20:31 (eighteen years ago)

Fuck. The City Lights is still the short version.

Raw Patrick, Friday, 21 March 2008 20:32 (eighteen years ago)

tnks patrick

max, Friday, 21 March 2008 21:25 (eighteen years ago)

Does anyone have Elton John's "Are You Ready For Love?"

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Friday, 21 March 2008 21:27 (eighteen years ago)

No one seems to have mentioned Tears For Fears b-side/side-project "Johnny Panic and The Bible of Dreams". Balearic as fuck.

glue_factory, Thursday, 27 March 2008 12:14 (eighteen years ago)

i picked up the Sueño Latino 1991 Remix 12" and was playing it at home and wifee asked i take it off because it was too "flutey and patooty".
