I remember buying Low Life, and wondering how it would be after the generally open-ended songs that was Power, Corruption and Lies..

And there was the most direct song they'd done so far. Ended up playing it three times in a row, most of the rest of the album is a blur, really.

I'm guessing 'Sooner Than You Think' and 'This Time of Night' won't place now - I had both in my top 20.

I'm kind of surprised this is so low, but it's about right. Wonderful song - one of the first of theirs I fell for.

It was released with the Arthur Baker remix as a single, yes. There are a few different versions, complicating things as usual.

Oh yeah I somehow forgot it was a single. One of the best songs that was a B-side and then later made a single then. Pet Shop's Paninaro is the only example I can think of that happening.

This is too low. I couldn't really say which was my number 1 or number 2 - this I placed at 2. Damn.

Number 2 for me as well! There are some great live versions of this.

EGG is completely brilliant, probably my favourite sounding song of theirs, it's just so impressive in so many ways

"Procession" beat its B-side by 3 points, the 3 number ones gave it three extra points pushing it past "Everything's Gone Green."

My prediction for Top 5: 'Regret', 'Bizarre Love Triangle', 'The Perfect Kiss (long version)', 'Blue Monday' and 'True Faith'... in any order.

I don't really know much New Order beyond the music TV megahits but this thread has spurred me into exploration. Had never heard 'The Perfect Kiss' before and wow, the whole thing, but especially 1:05 in the long video with the bassline coming up over the widdly synth line, I could listen to that bit forever.

Ceremony should be 1. Expect Dream Attack soon.

Vanishing Point will probably place - behind Dream Attack.

The Perfect Kiss should be number one.

They're the best two songs on Technique.

just basing that assessment on what's left. if they both make it, then one of the big ones didn't make the top 40, which is exceptionally unlikely
