Mid-period 'quai is where it's really at though

there's this restaurant near me that's got this beautiful expansive patio covered with trees and is perpetually filled with beautiful people having conversations, but thing is the food sucks and they give you too much of it.

Lose Yourself To Dance should have been the lead single, much better than Get Lucky imo.

Second listen through and Touch is so amazing.

overall i like get lucky less than a lot of this record, but i can't be sure if it's just been rinsed dry for me by all the radio play.

Daft Punk guys are pretty much my age, which makes me think they're trolling all the young fans who had dads playing Return to Forever at home and moms listening to smooth jazz funk while driving carpools to soccer games.

It sounds like that may be the root cause of all the dissonant opinions popping up on the web. At least in the US, this may be the first really big example of a group fully embracing a bunch of musical tropes that have largely been banished from popular venues for several decades. Do most people born after 1980 no longer have any point of reference for this genre?

Anyway I just think of "Touch" as one of Williams' Muppet ballads to a degree and that's Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem on that one breakdown. (All meant as high praise obv.)
