the italo parts of this sound to me like a poor version of alex moulton's ideas. the funk bits are sub paul hardcastle.

I guess that's why "The Game of Love" sounds like somebody wanting to imitate a Gaucho track.

you get the people who have been semi-ironically jamming yacht rock, the common man who has no hipster shame for unabashed love of the pop qualities of Nile Rodgers, and anyone who will show up due to Pharrell or Casablancas or Panda Bear, which hits a reasonable swath of the mainstream and fringe

i like steely dan and chic too. i think i got heavily into chic after hearing air play "at last i am free" on the essential mix. you would think i would like this daft punk album, but nooooo it sucks

transcoding a 128 kbps stream to 256 kbps doesn't make it sound like 256 kbps
