People seem to be pretty much into the panda bear track.

So have any of you heard it? I thought we had some influential people posting in here, suddenly we're all unemployed or what?

I've heard of it.

Only got myself to blame really, but my six year old has been caught up in the excitement and has asked me to make him a DP helmet that he can wear to a street-dance display that he's doing. Not sure how I'm going to get papier-maché that shiny but uh ok boss.

xp Nope, Kid A got 3/5 from Q and Select and a very lukewarm 7/10 from NME.

I've heard RAM but couldn't say so earlier because of the embargo.

Oh, and Melody Maker gave Kid A 1.5/5. I can't think of a consensus classic from the last decade that had worse reviews.

7/10 for Kid A seems about right.

In the big picture it's a consensus classic Lex, regardless of whether you'd like to push the whole band off a bridge. Personally I'd give it 7/10 too.

idk i dont agree with that post at all but i think theyre definitely canon-building here, just based on the way theyve talked about it. the same way theyve been doing since 'teachers' i guess

imo it's somewhat remarkable that daft punk have never collaborated with a female artist, esp in their field

I don't know what kind of canon-building would include Paul Williams, whose presence is solely down to DP's teenage obsession with Phantom of the Paradise.

"We need to construct an EDM canon. Quick, get the guy who wrote for Bugsy Malone and the Muppets! And the frontman of the Strokes - where would EDM be without him?"

Maybe they just prefer male voices to female ones. I don't think their "field" is relevant here because they've always done their own thing.

Maybe their next album will have them collaborating with Janelle Monae or Laurie Anderson.
