if i was in charge of PR, i would choose the very worst section on the entire album. people would get really pumped up, and then literally everything they heard from it afterward would be even BETTER!

i would also distribute the album as a giant jpg that needs to be converted to mp3.

if i was in charge of PR and had an assistant, i would delegate all questions regarding the conversion of the jpg to mp3 to them. it would be great practical experience for the asst, and it's also important to learn how to delegate.

oh I haven't heard the 20 sec clip and tbh don't care. it's better to read ilxor talk about it! I'm also convinced that the BOC's PR guy has the best job in all marketing.

curious as to whether they'll do the month-in-advance digital download thing for pre-orders like they did for autechre. which would mean it's only a couple of weeks.

The preorder page says they'll transfer the mp3s to your bleep account on the release date.

yeah, but they didn't say they were releasing the autechre early until they did...

no other format options though, i notice. or maybe they just use 'mp3' as shorthand.

Didn't they release the ae mp3s after the album leaked? I thought it might have been something like that.
