iirc they were not exactly blameless in that situation, although with hindsight I imagine there was more going on there than RR wanting to cut shots of AP's bare midriff out of her video.

From what I understand (the whole thing was before my time), there was an element of personal pique at work w/r/t to drawing out the process of releasing her - the label head at the time hated her so much that he refused to release her from her contract just to piss her off. I can't verify that 100 percent, but that's what I've heard. (BTW, for the folks who don't know, I work for Roadrunner and I posted that tweet.)

the impulse to tell people all of the awful things others are saying about them is no longer an impulse I understand; as I've gotten older, it comes across more and more to me as a passive-aggressive personal attack where the person doing the informing is subconsciously (or consciously) trying to hurt the victim's feelings

I don't get it, are you drawing the flowers in the margins of, like, a picture of a train wreck? That you also drew? Or a photo of a train wreck in the newspaper? Or are you literally standing a few feet from an actual wrecked train, drawing flowers? If so -- drawing them on the wreckage itself, or do you have some kind of easel setup?
