I asked him about it yesterday and I think net streaming was still up in the air -- needs to happen, of course. (Please.)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 12 February 2009 20:15 (seventeen years ago)

Ah if nothing else happens he can put it on YouTube.

Maximo Park Ji-Sung (Matt DC), Thursday, 12 February 2009 20:46 (seventeen years ago)

BTW when I know anything more about this I will let you know.

I should note that the poster above makes it look like this show is about me. It's not. I'm a panelist; there's another panelist and a convener who is kind of the star of the show.

Tim F, Thursday, 12 February 2009 23:16 (seventeen years ago)

this is a great idea for a show made even better by the fact that tim's on it.

Touring artists will be interviewed about the best (or worst) review they ever received, and what it meant to them.

I VOTE LADY GAGA

lex pretend, Thursday, 12 February 2009 23:18 (seventeen years ago)

"tim are you going to optimo tonight?"

Thinking about. Would like to go but i've been caning it recently and my body is suffering as a result.

Tim F, Friday, 13 February 2009 07:39 (seventeen years ago)

two weeks pass...

It's true, I've been googling the show and it hasn't even started yet - we'll be putting the episodes up on the site (<a href="http://dancingaboutarchitecturetv.com";>here</a>) each week, Tuesdays most likely. It starts tonight, LIVE (oh dear) at 9.30pm on C31!

clembastow, Monday, 2 March 2009 01:17 (seventeen years ago)

Fuck. HTML fail. Please forgive me.

clembastow, Monday, 2 March 2009 01:18 (seventeen years ago)

First episode now on-line here:

Watch me inadvertently refer to post-punk band "The Wire".

six months pass...

Second season is gonna be BIG. Starting in a few weeks. I'm super super pleased with the direction this is going in.

OTOH we've now got heaps of bite-size clips from season 1 up on youtube. Here we bravely pierce the Animal Collective hype:

Tim F, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 13:40 (sixteen years ago)

ha ha that last statement otm. somehow i've never seen anything of the show before now despite seeing the advert for it ages ago.

modeskeletor (blueski), Wednesday, 23 September 2009 14:09 (sixteen years ago)

So great.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 14:19 (sixteen years ago)

I love these but they should all be aboot UK Funky :)

Paul, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 15:00 (sixteen years ago)

Exclusive scoop: there will be a uk funky special (though prob. rather brief) in season 2, which may or may not involve flowcharts.

Tim F, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 15:03 (sixteen years ago)

Speaking of flowcharts, in episode 9, Elvira bitches about some people quoting Wikipedia in print then she uses a chart of Heavy Metal genres FROM WIKIPEDIA to illustrate her point. Doh!

brotherlovesdub, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 15:29 (sixteen years ago)

you guys should get a lower table haa. its like we're at the kids table @ thanksgiving. but covered in newspapers

deej, Thursday, 24 September 2009 00:25 (sixteen years ago)

We're having a new studio and new set. I'm hoping as well there'll be a different seating arrangement. I abhor watching myself on profile. Listening to myself is surely punishment enough.

Tim F, Thursday, 24 September 2009 02:34 (sixteen years ago)

Just appear on a TV screen looming over everything, Big Brother-style.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 24 September 2009 02:36 (sixteen years ago)

I hadn't seen this show until now but I made it most of the way through season one while at work today. I really enjoyed it.

brotherlovesdub, Thursday, 24 September 2009 03:10 (sixteen years ago)

Thanks - btw I found the flowchart thing rather funny at the time too.

Tim F, Thursday, 24 September 2009 03:14 (sixteen years ago)

Wow, I totally missed this. Awesome.

toby, Thursday, 24 September 2009 19:07 (sixteen years ago)

two months pass...

Good News: finale of the second season screens locally Thursday night, those in Melbourne who've never watched it can now tune in and then bluff and pretend they caught every episode. Will be up on youtube or the like eventually.

Less Good News: gotta have another tumor removed so probably won't be around for a while, enjoy end of year dissection and pedantry in my absence.

Tim F, Sunday, 29 November 2009 07:40 (sixteen years ago)

I think I speak for all the lurkers when I say heal quickly, and you'll be missed.

This part of the sentence is even dumber. (lukas), Sunday, 29 November 2009 07:52 (sixteen years ago)

Take care, Tim. Best wishes and a speedy recovery. Discussion around these parts will be temporarily less measured and interesting.
