tbh i have no real expectations for a new terry album, so i'd actually prefer a longer record where he just dumps out everything he's working on so i can pick and choose my own favorites

you guys don't want to hear a double-disc version of this album, i promise

he opened up a little bit towards the end of ours but it was just a few of us so it was pretty subdued. he's funny though.

What's your main objection to the songs you didn't immediately like, j0rdan?

on some it sounded like he was fighting the songs. like the one with kelly rowland gets really loud for the chorus in an awkward/unorganic way. there was another one like that too.

also on some the songwriting was just kinda weak

but these things are not a great way to evaluate music!

A big part of "One in a Million"'s innovation was that it was a ballad that was also a club song.

i do use these simultaneously from time to time but this song sounds like a "banger" to me even if it's nto up tempo... it's pretty loud, for instance

"IV play" feels like vintage terius to me in that it has like four diff hooks, the funny thing is that the main chorus is by far the least memorable of them all

it's so hilarious to me that he wrote a song about 12 Play and then flipped the title to reduce the cleverness of it

easily the best (or least underwhelming?) of all his recent songs though imo

the verses very 'memoirs'-era imo

it's good but i prefer the nu-FILA "slow it down" to it, to me that's more what dream's all about

i still think the songwriting on that is pretty weak, but yeah this is a pretty overt stylistic exercise
