Mexi-mexican mexican lucky.

Moka, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 22:38 (thirteen years ago)

Actual lyrics might be 'All night to get lucky' though.

Moka, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 22:41 (thirteen years ago)

he's clearly singing "we stay up all night to get lucky" ... jeez... get your ears checked whydontcha!!!

乒乓, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 22:51 (thirteen years ago)

ok now I'm thinking this album is going to suck again

frogbs, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 22:52 (thirteen years ago)

If they vocoder Pharrell enough it'll be fine but it does raise the possibility of Daft Punk imitating Prince which doesn't bear thinking about.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 22:55 (thirteen years ago)

pharrell can be a good vocalist in the right context

A$AP Rovi (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:01 (thirteen years ago)

otm

emo canon in twee major (BradNelson), Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:04 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah he can but I get the feeling that Pharrell and Daft Punk might well bring out the worst one one another.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:05 (thirteen years ago)

yeah this probably isnt a popular opinion but i really like his singing on 'cot damn'

乒乓, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:06 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah he can but I get the feeling that Pharrell and Daft Punk might well bring out the worst one one another.

the track Daft produced for the last NERD album was the least terrible one iirc

Devendra Bumhat (sic), Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:10 (thirteen years ago)

I liked the last NERD album but I realize that's an unpopular etc

cunnilingus ah um (The Reverend), Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:12 (thirteen years ago)

liked that neptunes remix of harder faster

this collab will be better than the track pharrell with cassius

tho prob not by much

nashwan, Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:43 (thirteen years ago)

I liked the last NERD album but I realize that's an unpopular etc

me too rev! hooray

emo canon in twee major (BradNelson), Wednesday, 27 March 2013 23:51 (thirteen years ago)

tbh I don't remember anything else off the album but relistened to Hypnotize after posting that and yeah I like it

Devendra Bumhat (sic), Thursday, 28 March 2013 00:51 (thirteen years ago)

I'm more worried about the fact that he's on not one, but three songs on the album.

MarkoP, Thursday, 28 March 2013 01:45 (thirteen years ago)

yeah, "Hypnotize" was very good so I don't particularly worry about this collab.

AlXTC from Paris, Thursday, 28 March 2013 11:48 (thirteen years ago)

oh sorry, that's clips from Electroma plus a remix someone made of the commercial music.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 00:08 (thirteen years ago)

oh, the montreal that's in canada

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 3 April 2013 00:12 (thirteen years ago)

The Reverend, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 18:40 (thirteen years ago)

he's so cool

Number None, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 18:40 (thirteen years ago)

the jam from the ad sounds so rad. such a sweet intro.

oo-oo-ah-ahh-ahh-uh-get-a-luuuucky

lol yeah i just clicked that :X

diamonddave85, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 18:52 (thirteen years ago)

dont get me wrong i fn love this but does anyone else think its kind of a questionable way to market a heavily anticipated album by an established artist

its a little like if arcade fire got bruce springsteen to talk for 8mins on youtube

❏❐❑❒ (gr8080), Wednesday, 3 April 2013 18:55 (thirteen years ago)

i'm so psyched that this is dropping in time for summer. looking forward to hearing oo-oo-ah-ahh-ahh-uh-get-a-luuuucky in every bodega, store, street, and car.

乒乓, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 18:56 (thirteen years ago)

otm about the creators project, but i totally think releasing only small loopable bits from the album is pretty clever viral marketing

diamonddave85, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:03 (thirteen years ago)

i think daft punk are 'leveraging social media'

乒乓, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:03 (thirteen years ago)

u think

❏❐❑❒ (gr8080), Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:04 (thirteen years ago)

xp to gr8080: I get where you're coming from but I think they're doing a service to their aesthetic vision for this album and to our broader musical culture by explicitly tying the personal memories of disco forefathers to their mass marketing campaign. I am normally way cynical about this sort of thing though. I think it's just because I've grown to really love & trust Daft Punk that I am giving them a pass.

Heyman (crüt), Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:05 (thirteen years ago)

p interesting after reading this 2 days ago:

http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2013/04/08/130408fa_fact_widdicombe?currentPage=all

(goes in to detail about Intel and the "creators series")

❏❐❑❒ (gr8080), Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:06 (thirteen years ago)

good post crut

❏❐❑❒ (gr8080), Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:06 (thirteen years ago)

Also I'd rather hear it about disco and all that rather than yet another fucking rock band.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:08 (thirteen years ago)

i think daft punk are 'leveraging social media'

allow me to blow your mind: each person that retweets or re-facebooks or "plus 1s" a facetweet+ is potentially contributing to a "multiplier effect"

your holiness, we have an official energy drink (Z S), Wednesday, 3 April 2013 19:08 (thirteen years ago)

i'd listen to the boss talk for 8mins about farting but thats just me
