i'm often down on singles and then like the albums or vice versa if that's what you mean. i like to think i'm willing to change my mind or admit when i've been wrong but i dunno if something like what you're describing actually happens that often! unless jokes i make about artists i like just come off harsh, i guess. examples?

If Panic at the Disco would reform with the same 4 dudes from their first 2 albums I would probably care and listen.

Yeah it's all good. I'm just curious now if those are apparent inconsistencies I can easily explain or that I'm totally unaware of! Singles tend to change a lot for me from first listen to fiftieth, which is prob how it should be imo.

last album was probably the only album to ever feature both lil wayne and elvis costello (...nobody really famous to contrast w/ jay-z or babyface on the album before that though)

there is the offish "all of the lights" remix w/ big sean, which i assume still has elton's piano in the mix although who knows

I kinda dug "My Songs..." so I'm disappointed "The Phoenix" sounds like what I expected (which makes it a comeback after all, I guess).

"My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" doesn't sound all that great on the radio. The goofiness in the chorus stopped being funny somewhere around the 3rd listen, and nothing else in this song has grown into anything especially rewarding.

what they do with the instrumental there is pretty cool imo i like it a lot more than the OG track
