huh i'd never heard "until yesterday" before! seems like it was the lead single from the still-unreleased second album

JC was kinda skeevy, that's def true and i seem to remember comparing him unfavourably to JT at the time for this, but his vocals aren't especially weak? his solo career didn't take off because he wasn't as charismatic (and throughout the entire history of nsync it was obv that JT was the chosen one) but also because he was working in more dance/electronic styles that weren't as trendy back in 2004. pretty sure he could've got a hit in the UK with the right push - well, he kind of did with this INCREDIBLE basement jaxx single

i mean it certainly has its moments but...it just doesn't work on any level at several points and it's pretty impossibly to buy into the overall conceit

massive flaws on this record: the anchorlessness of "mirrors" (identified by alfred), the rap on "pusher lover girl"

... eh, i mean after that, i just don't care, i enjoy getting lost in the sprawl, also i'm corny as fuck
