got the CD 2 days ago (in France).

Think they tried to deliver my CD today but I was out.

when you look at the cover on a laptop, and push the screen forward and backwards the text appears/disappears along with a phaser-esque sound (which are featured on some tracks) as a result of moving the laptop forward/backwards.

made me appreciate the cover a lot more. i was kind of high though.

vinyle just showed up, very nice, mbv01 on the spine, the cd isn't a cd-r lol

My CD showed up yesterday (Canada).

Differences between the CD they sent and mine:

1) Theirs is a shiny sleeve, with a booklet
2) mine is a matt sleeve, no booklet but Track listing on the sleeve and the label.

Apart from that, difficult to tell them apart.

(How can you tell it's not a cd-r btw?)

oh to be clear i wound up ordering both a cd and the vinyl separately because i couldn't decide which one i wanted. then later i realized i had read too fast and missed that the vinyl included a cd.

Cd only people: Proper cd box, or mini-lp sleeve?

Exactly the same size card case as last year's reissues, in a gatefold. Booklet with credits inserted on one side, cd in smaller card sleeve on the other.

Ah right, I think we got the 'inner' sleeve and a different booklet (no credits)

What do we mean by credits exactly? Cuz mine only lists the line up and photo credits

the cd booklet for this is an exceptionally unexciting item, not sure why they bothered at all

MBV album arrived. Shitty packaging though.Nice big record mailer not the shitty envelope style. but no padding inside. no cardboard no paper no bubble wrap nothing. the record was loose and rattling around inside, amazed there was no dinged corners.

sorry if stupid question, but when will this album be in stores (in the USA)?

Just got my CD today. I live in the USA, just outside of Philly. I like the packaging myself.

It'll be interesting listening again. I listened non-stop the first week after the download was available but haven't since. I have a feeling I will hear a lot of new subtleties, not because of the medium (in theory any difference between this and the files I burned a disc from would be negligible at best) but because of the time.

It was his chinchillas that packed those ones, not him.

As it turns out I did get to go to the sold-out other MBV show last weekend, thanks to a generous friend who couldnt. Awesome show.

And - as I said on FB about it - I was right at the mixing desk, and just as YMMR was about to start, the lighting/prjection tech turned and grinned at me and said "here we go!" and then added "this is the last time theyre ever doing this song this way, you know. You're seeing history!"

Then he put on some industrial earmuffs and sat there with a shiteating grin. The sound tech sat down, cracked open a beer, gave a thumbs up, and also grinned.
