I don't know much about Taylor Swift beyond the fact that there's somebody out there named Taylor Swift, and that she's liked by both my female students and rock-critic friends. So this is not meant as a knock on her in any way. But I thought the quote I read from Amy Poehler today was the funniest thing I've come across in quite a while:

argue that "you belong with me" is a great video, "safe & sound" her least obvious most directly gorgeous, "ours" really wonderfully shot and funny despite ugh conclusion

oh yeah and "the story of us" is obvious as hell but her performance in that video sells it
